Santana: Go Back To Europe

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The Mexican musician Carlos Santana was in Atlanta this weekend for the annual “Civil Rights Game” at Turner Field.

He was there to accept a “Beacon of Change” award from the Reverend Jesse Jackson of all people. Santana used the occasion to denounce Georgia for passing its “cruel” new immigration law.

Gov. Nathan Deal signed the immigration package on Friday. Immigration reform in Georgia is now a done deal until the ACLU and the Justice Department can get another federal judge to legislate from the bench.

Santana demonstrated his complete ignorance of Southern culture:

“The people of Arizona, and the people of Atlanta, Georgia, you should be ashamed of yourselves.”

“It’s a cruel law, actually,” he said.

“This is about fear. Stop shucking and jiving. People are afraid we’re going to steal your job. No we aren’t. You’re not going to change sheets and clean toilets,” he said.

“If people want the immigration laws to keep passing, then everybody should get out and leave the American Indians here,” he said.

The most significant thing about this story was the lack of a public response.

In the course of passing the immigration law, Georgians were called every name in the book by the likes of “immigrant advocates” and “civil rights activists” like Santana and Jesse Jackson: racist, fascist, nativist, bigot, xenophobe, hatemonger, etc.

It has yet to dawn on our antagonists that you can’t shame people who aren’t listening to you anymore. Nobody in Georgia except the black community sees Jesse Jackson as anything more than a race hustler who profits from stirring up controversy.

Santana is also clueless if he believes that Georgia would grind to a halt without illegal aliens: 51% of illegal aliens in Georgia are on welfare, 46 percent are on foodstamps, and 39% are on Medicaid.

Contrary to this racial delusion, the overwhelming majority of people who live in Georgia change their own sheets and clean their own toilets. They cut their own grass and wash their own dishes too. And they don’t like criminals who are on welfare giving them lectures about morality.

Every year there is “A Day Without Mexicans” in United States. I was living in Columbus, GA when Hispanic activists and illegal aliens threatened to stop working after the Bush amnesty was defeated in 2007.

No one even noticed there had been “A Day Without Mexicans.” It was just an ordinary day in Georgia. The trash was picked up that morning. The restaurants were all open. The mail was delivered.

“I would invite all Latin people to do nothing for about two weeks so you can see who really, really is running the economy… I am here to give voice to the invisible.”

I would invite taxpayers to demonstate who “really, really is running the economy” by demanding that the Georgia state legislature take on welfare for illegal aliens in the next legislative session.

We need to give voice to the invisible here: the American majority which is sick of Carlos Santana and the rest of these illegal alien agitators.
