NJ court again rules that bloggers are not "journalists", the First Amendment does not apply

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

I guess because we don’t pay dues to the Newspaper Guild we’re not entitled
to First Amendment protections? That’s the

opinion
of Superior Court Judge Linda Grasso Jones. She reaffirmed that
blogger Shellee Hale is not entitled to First Amendment protection on the
grounds that Hale is not a “real journalist,” only a “blogger.”

Shortly thereafter Thomas Paine rolled over in his grave.

Judge Jones must have gone to the same crummy, progressive law school
as
unbelievably arrogant Judge Cornelius Vaughey
of Maryland, who

put Aaron Walker in jail for blogging about a public figure
. Because no
reputable law school would fail to emphasize one of our Constitution’s
bedrock principles.

Make no mistake, our Free Speech rights are under attack. The leftists

can’t win
the war of ideas so they scurrilously impose restrictions on our
right to speak the truth. And just to hammer home the nastiness,

they go after our families too
.

Oh, but since we’re not “journalists,”

almost nobody cares
.

This Friday

the blogosphere will take a stand
. A stand for freedom. A stand
for liberty. A stand for justice, not for a select few, but
for all.

They can have this keyboard when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
