CNN: Sarah Palin Moves Needle, GOPe Incumbents Need to Worry

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer said “if you’re an incumbent and you’re being primaried by a Tea Party supporter, you gotta worry about Sarah Palin,” as he closed a news analysis segment, “Sarah Palin in the Spotlight” with Pete Hamby. “I think that’s still the case. I do,” Hamby responded. The segment follows on the heels of Hamby’s analysis of Gov. Palin in which he said she is launching a book tour – without citing any source and absent a public announcement from Gov. Palin or her staff.

Hamby and Blitzer were even-handed in this segment quoting GOPe / permanent political class who regard Gov. Palin as “a joke,” but concluding that she is a force to be reckoned with in low-turnout GOP primaries where she has altered the landscape. They concluded that she is not interested in running for elective office, but wants to make a difference by leading without a title.
