Why Liberals Hate Religious Objections to Their Ideas of “Progress” (But Only If It’s the Bible)

Liberals have their ideas of progress and if there’s one thing they despise it’s having someone say “no” and give their (Christian) religion as the reason.  Thus, when Hobby Lobby says it doesn’t want to be forced to cover birth control for its employees, Liberals foam at the mouth and become like rabid animals.

You see, it’s very complicated to be a Liberal.  You have to keep in mind that if someone says the Bible teaches them something is wrong, they’re a stupid Conservatard but if the Koran says boys and girls need to be in seperate classes, that’s religious Liberty.

You have to know the difference between your society’s dominant power structure and an oppressed victim in that society.

Liberals view the Bible as a work of fiction.  They do not respect it.  Because they view its contents as “irrational” nothing it says is to be counted.  They instead will cling to the lie they tell themselves which is only that “logic, science, facts” matter.  This is how the Liberal will establish – for themselves – that not only are they correct but everyone else is ignorant and thus they know better.

Talk to a Liberal about “Global Warming” and they will usually spout out how 97% of scientists say man is causing the planet to warm.  They will very comfortably say this but cannot respond when you tell them that most of those “scientists” aren’t even in the field that would understand the data.

This is, in part, how the Liberal will come to think only they know better (even if what they know is verifiably false).

Thus, when Chick-Fil-A’s president came out against gay marriage, he was labeled a Bible thumping bigot but when it comes to issues like Sharia Law, Liberals are all over it:

Moves by more than 30 states in recent years to curb the use of foreign law in U.S. courts has been fueled by “anti-Muslim bigotry” and will present legal and practical problems for American courts and families, according to a new report released Thursday by a pair of leading liberal interest groups.

“It’s quite clear that the driving force of this movement to push bans on Sharia law is anti-Muslim bigotry, plain and simple,” Mr. Mach said Thursday in a CAP discussion on the report.

Ah, yes… Sharia Law.  Stoning women, preventing them from learning to read and write, murdering gays, all that intolerance.

And yet those who oppose it are labelled as being filled with “anti-Muslim bigotry.”

Push the Koran… you’re okay.  Push the Bible… bigot.

Liberals are not consistent in their beliefs.  They often hold them with the vigor of a Crusader… they make it their religion.

After all, the editor of the New York Times said this (before it was deleted):

In my house growing up, The Times substituted for religion,” she said. “If The Times said it, it was the absolute truth.

And Democrat Kristen Powers recently said this:

I think my whole life had centered on Democratic politics, I was very much in that bubble. I worked in the Clinton administration so I had all these friends from there, and then in Democratic politics in New York, so that’s what we sort of bonded over–that was our religion, to a certain extent.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.
