'Refugee Gate' Proves the Left Has No Shame, and Little Patriotism

President Trump’s announcement on a temporary ban on refugees and visas from certain countries with a history of exporting terrorism to America and Europe caught a lot of people by surprise. It shouldn’t have. They still haven’t figured out that this is a president who works hard instead of lolling around on golf courses or taking lavish tax payer paid vacations, one who means what he says. The media meltdown and the histrionics from the usual suspects is simply another proof to the American people that most of The Left has no shame, and little patriotism.

President Trump’s executive order temporarily suspends entry by the nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries: Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen. It will last for 90 days, pending heightened vetting procedures.The exception is Syria for which there is no time limit.These countries are all failed states, and one, Iran, is a sworn enemy of the U.S. and worldwide sponsor of terrorism. So this is hardly a ‘Muslim ban’, since it only applies to these 7 countries an dtheir oare provisions for dual citizenship and special hardship cases. And the 7 countries? They were the same ones named in the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, signed by – wait for it – Barack Hussein Obama! Since it was Obama, the media was dead silent about it.

Of course, we also now know the Obama regime made it policy not to vet Muslim refugees in any significant way:

Don’t ask any questions, bring ‘em in, give ‘em an EBT card, MedicAid and subsidized housing and settle them across the American heartland. That was the plan. Almost 90% of them are still on welfare.

If you want any proof that Obama’s policy to bring as many Muslims into America as possible was based on ideology rather than humanitarian motives, in Fiscal Year 2016, Obama admitted more than 12,000 Sunni Muslim refugees from Syria but fewer than 100 Christian refugees from the same country. This is even more striking because while Muslims actually have some safe refugee havens they can go to, Christians and Yazedis in the Middle East have none, and cannot even safely access most refugee havens because they will simply become prey for the Muslims already there. Obama made it almost impossible for the besieged Christians to come to the United States.  That’s exactly why President Trump made a point of saying that in the future, Christian refugees from the region will receive preference, as they are the minority religion and most persecuted..almost to the point of verging on extinction.

The countries involved all have significant ISIS and al-Qaeda activity, and if you bother to do some searching, any number of these refugees have been involved in rapes, drug dealing, armed robbery, assault and other felonies. And a quick search shows that At least 23 ‘refugees’ have been implicated in terrorism in the United States since 2010, and the actual number is higher. That list doesn’t include killers like Major Nidal Hassan, the Ft. Hood murderer who was born in America or the Tsarnaeves of Boston Marathon infamy. Hassan was born here and the Tsarnaeves came here as children, but all were radicalized here in America. Islam, as some of you may have noticed, is not like other religions. It has many decent practitioners, but those people would be decent no matter what religion they embraced. The problem is that the ideology gives sanction to things no religious faith should, and a significant number of Muslims act on that. Vetting who’s who will be difficult, and likely take more than 90 days. So be it.

Aside from their track record here in America, no patriotic American looking at how mass migration of these  Muslim’refugees’ has turned out for Europe would fail to see the common sense of what President Trump has done here.

George Soros, of course, has bankrolled a number of legal challenges to Trump’s executive order. So far five Federal District Court Judges have ruled to  block parts of Trump’s order. Most media outlets aren’t mentioning that four of the five are Democrats, three of them radical left Obama appointees who got through thanks to Mitch McConnell’s decision to let Harry Reid get away with murder and refuse to use the nuclear option to vote them down. One is a Clinton appointee, and the last one, Judge Zilley is 82 years old and is already facing questions about competency and judicial misconduct because of some of his erratic behavior.

Simply put, none of these rulings will stand, but they do buy time and act as political theater. The Left is gearing up for the real battle, when President Trump starts deporting illegal migrants and cracking down on sanctuary cities. But there’s a silver lining to these tactics. They reveal to the American people who these folks really are and how absolutely unhinged they are.Clarity is always a virtue.

Trump’s authority is absolute according to the Constitution, because control over immigration is one of the powers expressly reserved by the Federal Government. Moreover Federal immigration law also includes Title 8, Section 1182(f), which states: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate”

The Supreme Court reaffirmed this in United States v. Valenzuela-Bernal in 1982; “The power to regulate immigration—an attribute of sovereignty essential to the preservation of any nation—has been entrusted by the Constitution to the political branches of the Federal Government.”

Obama has used this same authority six times in his eight years, and President Carter used it to ban immigrants and refugees from Iran. Nobody ever called either of them ‘racist.’

I think at this point I feel I should mention something that makes me viscerally angry. The Left,including the always disgusting Senator Schumer have been shamelessly using the victims of the Holocaust to peddle this Muslim refugee scam to the American people. They cite the fact that the U.S. and President Roosevelt turned away most of the Jewish refugees fleeing the coming carnage in Europe back in the 1930′s.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two.

First of all, the Jews fleeing the Holocaust had no bloody record of terrorism, rape and murder. The Jews already here in America were peaceful and  law abiding. and hard working and had been carefully vetted for disease, radical associations and criminal records and there were complete paper trails from their home countries.  They assimilated into America, learned English and paid their own way. There was no reason to expect anything different from the new prospective refugees.

The difference was that these refugees were penniless. The Nazis ‘sold’ them visas to leave in exchange for their complete net worth and all their assets. Few countries wanted such refugees in the midst of the Depression. One place they could have gone was Palestine, where the League of Nations Mandate that was Britain’s sole authority for control of the area said that Jews were to be allowed to settle and have a state. Britain violated that mandate. In 1939, the White Paper illegally  cut off all Jewish migration to Palestine, a death sentence for those Jews trying to find refuge.

 Neville Chamberlain was a fairly open anti-Semite, but by then Britain was at war and desperate for U.S. food, military supplies and loans. Franklin Roosevelt, still a hero to most Jewish Democrats could have saved thousands of Jewish  lives simply by making aid to Britain conditional on rescinding the White Paper and allowing Jewish refugees to come to Palestine. But FDR couldn’t be bothered, and there’s no way he didn’t know what was going on. Kristallnacht was hardly a secret.

 The Arab nations, by the way, learned from the Nazis and did exactly the same thing to almost a million Jews they ethnically cleansed from their countries after 1948,most of whom arrived in Israel with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Those refugees never got a penny in help from the UN and no one ever talks about a ‘just settlement’ for them. “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.” *

Finally, while Jews fleeing the Holocaust had hardly any options if they were rejected, the current crop of Muslim refugees has a number of them. Many of these ‘refugees’ werre actually encamped in safe locations on Turkey, Lebanon and Syria but bytheir own admission  headed for Germany and other western EU destinations because of the lavish social welfare benefits.There are 57 predominately Muslim nations in the world, including rich nations like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE Emirates. Guess how many of their co-coreligionist Muslim  Arab refugees they’ve taken in? Zero.

And why not? If stupid, self-immolating infidels like Angela Merkel are willing to take them in and pay for them, why should the rich Arab nations bother?  Saudi Arabia alone has lots of space and already has 150,000 air conditioned, fully equipped house-size tents that could accommodate almost 500,000 people. They’re standing empty.

Besides, there’s the aspect of  hijrah – jihad by migration. If the infidels are willing to be conquered and become part of Dar-Islam so easily, that reasoning goes, why not let them? Britain already has nine legal shariah courts that are mandatory for Muslims, the Muslim birth rate is exceeding the non-Muslim one in much of Western Europe, and the kaffurs are actually paying millions of Euros to Muslims support their own demise! They are so afraid of us they no longer protect their own women! We may even retake Spain and rename it  Andaluz again, London now has a Muslim mayor, and Allah willing, France and Germany may fall!

Muslims have used this tactic before in history. Those people who seriously advocate recreating what is going on in Europe here in America are not only suicidal lemmings with no regard for a free society, but a true danger to our Republic. Fortunately, they seem to be making this quite clear for everyone to see.

Of course, there is a surefire way of finding out who’s right there. Scott Adams, with his usual wit spells it out:

My most agitated liberal friend sent me a link today about Justin Trudeau announcing Canada would take all of the Trump-banned immigrants because diversity is their strength. My friend said that was an example of real leadership.

His conclusion is debatable, but didn’t Canada just solve all of Trump’s problems? If humane treatment of immigrants is the goal, Canada is the right place. They have polite behavior, free healthcare, and lots of space. That’s a win-win-win.

Or am I missing something?

Canada also gives us a test case to compare to America’s plan. In five years we can check back and see how it turned out for them. If it work

Now that I think about it, the Middle East has a lot of space too. Remind me again why Muslim countries are banning Muslim immigrants. Is it because they are Hitler?
