Golden Globes Laffer

File this one under the Go Figure department. I didn’t watch the Golden Globes, and I have no idea who this woman is, but it sure goes against the theme of all those other women in there crying about a problem that was ignored in Hollywood since the inception of the film industry itself. Even as a child I knew what the expression, “casting couch” meant.

Then Harvey Weinstein was finally exposed for his antics. It turns out (not surprisingly) that it had been an open secret for a couple of decades.  All of Hollywood knew about Harvey -how could they not given the weirdo antics he was into- but they kept it from the public at large. Finally, someone let the cat out of the bag, and then the torrent began. Now everybody in Hollywood is indignant and outraged at something they had winked since the days of Fatty Arbuckle.

Only the porn industry itself outdoes Hollywood when it comes to the sexualization and objectification of women. How many young female actresses are out there that at some point didn’t have to do a nude love scene in a movie?

Hollywood is a cesspool made up of mostly vapid hypocrites. I don’t need to listen to a parade of actors marching to the microphone and lecturing me on morality and who should be president. That’s why I don’t watch these dopey events.
