Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence says she will save America from Trump
Just when you thought there was no hope for our grand republic, a new “great white hope” has entered the political mix to help “fix our democracy” from the clutches of President Donald Trump and those dastardly Republicans.
Enter Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence.
Lawrence, of Hunger Games fame, told Entertainment Tonight that she will be taking a one year hiatus from acting to focus here attention on political activism that counters vast corruption and “get young people engaged politically on a local level.”
How nice of her to do that for us all.
“I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent. Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”
Lawrence added, “It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy. And then I don’t know what I’m doing next.”
Contrary to what she says about her organizations non-partisan motives of ending corruption, Lawrence herself has been one of the many outspoken anti-Trump critics in the movie industry.
Remember, this is the same Jennifer Lawrence that said,” if Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” and said that the Hurricanes Harvey and Irma were “Mother Nature’s rage and wrath” against Americans for voting for and electing Donald Trump.
According to Fox News, Lawrence is also neck-deep in the effort to find a legislative solution to protect DACA kids.
We can’t fault her for wanting to help those kids, but to blame to say the deadly hurricanes that ravaged Texas and Florida were payback for electing Trump is just asinine.
But this is what we expect from the Big Hollywood, right?
