It's Judge Godzilla

Have you ever seen anyone become so instantly hated as Judge Brett Kavanaugh? In the twinkling of an eye, President Trump named Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and the Democrats, left-wing media, and other assorted crazies plugged his name onto the blank space on their posters and decried that this is the worst man in the world.

Of course, the Dems were preparing. Yesterday, before the announcement, Chuck Schumer (D-NY) went to the Senate floor and stated that he would vote against whomever Trump appointed (from Trump’s list of  21 judges). He followed up after the announcement with a line of hysterical statements to the effect that Kavanaugh was going to take away abortion rights. (He couldn’t say, the word, “abortion”, rather “a woman’s most sensitive decisions about her body and health” or some such nonsense. Richard, “I am a Vietnam veteran” Blumenthal (D-CT) echoed a similar theme and others like Rachel Maddow added that Trump must have handpicked Kavanaugh because he had written that a sitting president could not be indicted. (He wrote this about 20 years ago in a  law school journal.) . Liberal commentator Nina Totenberg proclaimed it was the end of the world as we know it. Chris Matthews, of course, lost his mind the day Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement.

I was kind of leaning against Kavanaugh because he had reportedly supplied the reasoning that Justice John Roberts used in saving Obamacare. Nonetheless, I now know a lot more about him. For one thing, Trump went with a candidate who has demonstrated judicial excellence and a conservative approach to the law and Constitution. So I am more comfortable with him.

The stakes being as high as they are, we can expect a real circus from the Dems and the left as they demonize a man who is clearly a solid citizen. The level of hysteria is already so high. I predict that the antics of the left will further turn off the American public and this will bite the Dems hard in the November elections.
