Wildfires Are Caused by People but Not Through Global Warming

Moonbats could be counted on to blame the terrible fires burning up California on people. According to their dogma, insufficient taxation and regulation permit productive activity; this in turn generates carbon emissions, which make it be too hot out, so that the forests dry out and burst into flames.

True enough, 90% of wildfires are caused by people, according to the National Park Service. However, they are directly caused, often as a result of arson. If global warming theory had anything to do with it, why were fires worse in the past?

Prior to 1960, vastly more acres of US forests burned per year than nowadays.

However, now the burnt acreage is creeping back upward, due to bad forest management and restrictions on timber harvesting, which have resulted in forests clogged with highly flammable dead trees and brush.

Officials who really want more limited forest fires are well advised to drop the moonbattery and let the forests be cleared. But of course, that would deprive them of evidence that we need Big Government to save us from productive activity.
