Beto O’Rourke invoked World War II to push an extremist stance on global warming, claiming environmental activists are just like “those who were on the beaches in Normandy.”
Right, advocating taxes and regulations to prevent the climate from fluctuating like it always has and always will is exactly like wading into a blizzard of machine gun fire to prevent Nazis from ruling the world.
Robert Francis wants to glorify himself and his fellow moonbats. What he is doing is cheapening the courage, fortitude, and self-sacrifice of a higher breed. Just like everyone liberals don’t like is Hitler, everyone they do like is a soldier invading Normandy. After a while, you forget what heroism actually means.
Another objective of this hyperbolic rhetoric is to work us into a state of hysteria. As Rahm “Dead Fish” Emanuel famously admitted on behalf of the progressive establishment, “you never let a serious crisis go to waste” because “it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
If you don’t have a serious crisis, you create one through massive overspending (the Cloward-Piven strategy) or you invent one literally out of thin air (the global warming hoax).
No country would willingly go along with the Khmer Rouge level of transformative tyranny implicit in the Green New Deal unless in a state of hysteria. That’s where the “mainstream” media comes in.
