Why You Don’t Want to Drive in Detroit

The big wars are not fought with tanks and planes anymore. They are fought with demographics. But the objective is the same: to conquer and control territory. Once territory has been lost to the other side, setting foot on it constitutes going behind enemy lines. As in any war, this can get you killed.

A case in point is Detroit. In 1960, it was the wealthiest city in the USA by per capita income. It was known as the Paris of the Midwest. Then it was conquered. Now we read this:

A 24-year-old man from Berkley [Tyler Wingate] was brutally beaten to death after a seemingly minor car crash on Detroit’s west side early Monday morning. The crash and beating were caught on surveillance video from a nearby gas station.

Berkley is a suburb of Detroit.

The beating apparently started with a sucker punch and continued with Tyler on the ground, in front of an audience.

Then everyone but Tyler walked away as they left him to die.

They must have taken down the signs helpfully warning that it is now unsafe to enter Detroit.

Try not to grind your teeth next time a privileged person of politically preferred pigmentation whimpers belligerently about “driving while black.”

Meanwhile, progressives continue to employ welfare and immigration policy in pursuit of their objective of making the entire country into Detroit.
