Ellie Goulding Bullies Salvation Army

These days it isn’t hard to figure out who the bad guys are. Like a horde of demons unleashed from hell, the legions of the woke will subjugate and defile anything that is good. Now they are coming after the Salvation Army.

Via the Dallas Morning News:

Grammy-nominated singer Ellie Goulding is threatening to cancel her performance at the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show.

Goulding made the announcement after fans took to her Instagram to accuse the Salvation Army of trans and homophobia — and condemn her for supporting the organization.

That’s the sort of country we live in now; people are accused of supporting the Salvation Army, and are forced to make amends.

Goulding responded to this bullying with some bullying of her own:

“I have reached out to The Salvation Army and said that I would have no choice but to pull out unless they very quickly make a solid, committed pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community,” she wrote.

A well-established Christian organization must explicitly support unnatural behavior that is repeatedly condemned throughout the Bible, because some idiot pop singer says so.

The show, which is set to appear on national TV on CBS during the Dallas Cowboys game against the Buffalo Bills, serves as the kickoff for the Salvation Army’s yearly Red Kettle Campaign. …

The campaign that the halftime show heralds, now in its 129th year, ends on Christmas Eve and is geared toward providing shelter and meals for people dealing with homelessness and hunger. It also supports Christmas toys for children, as well as other social service programs.

None of this counts as doing good works anymore. Either you promote the up-to-the-minute progressive agenda in all of its malevolent sickness, or you will be unpersoned. This goes for institutions as well as individuals.

The Salvation Army in no way is hostile to or discriminates against those who indulge in abnormal sex acts. But that’s not enough. You have to obediently endorse degeneracy and depravity, or Ellie Goulding will tell all her fans that you are icky.

For certain progressives, there is no amount of good in the world that an organization can do to make up for the fact that it holds religious views that were in the same ballpark as Barack Obama’s public position less than a decade ago.

That’s because for progressives there is only one good: pushing the agenda full steam ahead. It is forbidden to think the way they told you to think yesterday. You must think the way they tell you to think right now.

Now Ellie Goulding says she will perform at the halftime show after all. Via NBC Sports:

The Salvation Army apparently satisfied her concerns.

I really hope this did not involve groveling before an advocate of the LGBT agenda. The Salvation Army may have been far better off in the long run if it had left Ellie Goulding’s concerns unsatisfied.
