Outlook

As broad high pressure drifts farther offshore, a low-pressure system will develop to our west and bring unsettled weather to the area today and Saturday. After a brief break on Sunday, unsettled weather returns for early next week.

Weather Hazards

Hazardous weather is not expected today. We are expected to see rain on Saturday, some of it could be heavy at times. There is also the possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds, mainly on Saturday night.

FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT

A strong low-pressure system will bring periods of moderate to heavy rainfall across the southern NC mountains and northeast Georgia mountains on Saturday, with isolated stronger thunderstorms possible Saturday night, capable of producing damaging winds. Rainfall could increase flooding concerns along larger rivers, streams, and low-
lying areas Saturday into Saturday night.
