FreedomWorks FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Q3 GDP Numbers

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the the quarter three 2020 GDP report, in which US GDP surpassed expectations and increased by 33.1 percent, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“This is remarkable news that shows the American economy is coming back strong, even surpassing expectations. Although many were predicting and even hoping for a slow recovery, our economy is quickly recovering from the pandemic. However, we need to recognize that many Americans have been hit hard by the far slower reopening of the economy in several states due to blanket mandates. We must continue to reopen and get the government out of the way so consumers, workers, and businesses can continue to recover. We need leaders who will commit to working to reopen the American economy, not entertain ideas of future widespread shutdowns.
