DiMaso will seek reelection
Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso announced this morning that she is seeking a third term representing the 13th Legislative District in the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature.
DiMaso touts a record of accomplishment, leadership and fiscal conservatism in her announcement. “Her record is witness to a public servant who takes action to serve the people of the district,” her campaign’s announcement declared.”
“Everyday my staff and I work to help get thousands of our constituents their unemployment, the nightmare these people are living is unimaginable. Former Lt Governor Kim Guadagno, now the CEO of Fulfill, a foodbank and social service agency that serves Monmouth and Ocean counties, announced her endorsement of DiMaso.
“Serena is a leader with a proven record of serving all the people of District 13,” Guadagno said. “She knows how Trenton works and is always there for us. As a resident of Monmouth Beach, Serena represents me and my family. I will proudly vote for a strong voice for our families and businesses and that means I will vote to return Assemblywoman DiMaso to Trenton.”
DiMaso faces a challenge from Holmdel Board of Education President Vicky Flynn for the Republican nomination. Flynn, who has the support of the Holmdel Republican County Committee and Chair Marcy McMullen, will challenge DiMaso at the Monmouth County Republican nominating convention which is scheduled be be held virtually on March 18.
Neither DiMaso or Flynn have said if they will run in the Republican primary, scheduled for June 8, or support the convention’s nominee.
