I am a long-time Kerry Cassidy fan. HOWEVER, she virtually “attacked” this young man at the beginning of the video, but happily he stood up for himself and the interview continued with interesting points.
HOWEVER, I am SICK of Kerry’s repeated (in every video) COG (continuity of government) comments…as if nobody else in the world knows anything about it but her!
If you’ve EVER worked for the federal government, VIRTUALLY EVERYBODY knows about COG. Unfortunately for Kerry, she does NOT understand that COG has ALWAYS been in effect (year round) and that CIVILIANS have always been in charge — NOT THE MILITARY! So…COG is NOT the wonderful program Kerry “thinks” it is! Every COG position is FILLED with MORE DEEP STATE CROOKED CIVILIANS backing up the Bushes, Clintons, Obamas, Cheneys, etc. etc. TRUMP would have to CLEAN THEM OUT of Mt. Weather or wherever they are holed up NOW and REPLACE THEM with the GOOD MILITARY!

Obviously, Derek doesn’t want to get into the details of the situation that led to his injuries. It might be classified. Who knows, but he is just not describing it. Just because you get an injury during training does not imply, by any means, that you had a vulnerability. I’m certain many people would be surprised as to how many soldiers get not only injured during training, but killed during training. When I was a kid, our next door’s neighbor’s son got killed during a training operation. Derek is just so courteous, that he doesn’t even talk about that. He doesn’t want to bring attention to himself. It’s just like when you get shot in combat, does not imply that those that got shot were somehow any lesser than anybody else. It’s just the luck of the draw. He got into a situation that snowballed into his injuries, that’s it, because military training is the real deal, not a combat game. But of course, Kerry Cassidy, as she always is, makes assumptions about many things she doesn’t know about, & many people might not agree w/ her, but because of her character, she thinks that she knows best. Sorry to say, but it’s 1 of her most notable vulnerabilities & character flaws, making personal assumptions not based on good, solid, concrete knowledge & logic. KC is somewhat of a snob, if you ask me. I’ll be surprised if she can get Derek back in her show, specially after he gets to watch some of her videos.

Cassidy was trying to build up to perhaps “discredit” Derek in some way. She’s done this to Ismael Perez also. Johnson at least picked up and protested, but Ismael was lovingly and patiently responding to all of her rude questions. She’s done this for a long time and I do appreciate her work, but the interview doesn’t have to be a confrontation.

Some guys come down with ‘back injuries’ as a result of having to carry around all the ‘battle rattle’ on a daily basis. This gear depending on your MOS often weighed close to 90-100 lbs . . . or more and caused quite a few injuries . . . but also saved quite a few lives.
