Hasan Piker Calls for Insufficiently Radical Democrats to Be “Punished”
He doesn’t command firing squads yet, but already Hasan Piker is calling for Democrats who are not sufficiently radical to be “punished.”

Piker is calling on Democrats to ensure that those who do not support Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed face consequences for not holding the party line.
Snarls Piker:
“You can’t be out here saying like, ‘Oh, I’m a centrist Democrat. And I think Abdul is a bridge too far.’ That must be punished.”
He is fairly explicit regarding what this entails:
Piker, a socialist, went on to argue that the Democrats should use “Marxist-Leninist” punishment against those who do not “follow the party line.”
After Vladimir Lenin’s Bolsheviks overthrew the democratic administration that had replaced the fallen czar, among the first to be lined up and shot were the more numerous Mensheviks, who were also socialists, but who were not radical enough to keep pace.
They don’t teach much history in schools these days, but some Democrats know enough about what happened only a hundred years ago to be sweating bullets — Chuck Schumer, for example.
