“I want that deterrence message sent,” Slotkin emphasized.
The idea is to make it impossible for Republicans to govern effectively:
If Democrats succeed in making service under a Republican administration a lasting professional liability, the effect will not be limited to the officials Slotkin has named. It will shrink the pool of capable people willing to staff future Republican administrations, while leaving Democrat staffers free of reciprocal risk.
Being the bad guys confers the advantage of being able to use tactics that are out of the question for anyone decent.
Readers may recall that previously Slotkin joined the seditious Count Orlok lookalike Mark Kelly in calling for US servicemembers to disobey orders. Among Democrats, Slotkin passes for a moderate.
This same party has made it clear that it will render the Supreme Court moot by packing it so that the Constitution will no longer hinder them.
Judging by what they say openly when they are not even in power yet, imagine what they will do to anyone they deem to be out of compliance with their sick ideology after they have control.
