Somali Colonists Blame America for Somali Violence

The violence they inflict in their Minnesota colony has become so conspicuous that Somalis themselves gathered to acknowledge it. Guess who they blame? That’s right: us.

The Oct. 7 press conference in Eden Prairie brought together Somali community leaders, parents and religious representatives following several days of gang-related shootings across the Twin Cities.

Asad Aliweyd opined that “This is not simply a Somali problem. It’s a youth violence and gun violence problem…”

Aliweyd is the executive director of a nonprofit that was ordered to pay back $1.1 million to the state for “fraudulent claims,” according to KARE 11. He has not been charged with any crime.

This is unsurprising in a state that lets Keith Ellison be Attorney General.

Aliweyd is described as a father of eight. Even if we shut off the immigration floodgates completely, we will find ourselves in big trouble within a couple of generations

Fardousa Yossuf, a Somali mother and teacher, expressed disbelief that children raised with Islamic values could become involved in gun violence.

“We never thought that our children, we have been raising them, and taking them to the Madrasa, which is to teach the Islamic values, that they will … get guns,” Yossuf said.

Yossuf offered another explanation for why some Somali youth are turning to gangs and guns: Their parents are working too hard to pay enough attention to them.

As for Somali looters and moochers working hard,

As Alpha News previously reported, a December 2025 report from the Center for Immigration Studies found that a staggering 89% of Somali immigrant households with children in Minnesota receive some form of welfare assistance. Even among Somali immigrant households overall, the figure was 81%.

But back to guns. Confirms Farhio Khalif of Somali Youth Link:

“This is not a Somali community [issue] … This is a gun violence issue.”

Gun violence is presumably caused by Americans insisting on their fundamental right to bear arms as affirmed by the US Constitution. No worries; demographic displacement will put an end to this. Nadia Mohamed, Democrat mayor of the Minneapolis suburb St. Louis Park, provided confirmation when she proclaimed that the solution to Somali violence is to ban guns:

Her solution? She wants to BAN guns instead.
