Preston Castle has been named one of the most haunted places in America. There are twenty-three graves sites in a cemetery located near Preston Castle. Most of these deaths seem to be caused by disease and nothing more. There was not a lot of violence at the Castle, it was a home for Juveniles. A place they would go instead of jail, but there was one murder of a housekeeper. Anna Corbin was found in a small closet after being bludgeoned to death and later a twenty-year old man was shot and killed in his third escape attempt. The young man Samuel Goins buried in the cemetery is rumored to still be seen on the grounds. On my paranormal investigation of Ione Hotel I visited Preston Castle. It’s majestic in a way. The site of it is nothing like the pictures. The feeling you get immediately is that it is a place that ghost reside.
In a matter of three days their were three experiences with Preston Castle. My friend Rubbie has a connection to the place. A man who was there as a kid. I would like to know what life was like behind the walls of Preston Castle. What you read and the stories you hear are very different, but to make it stranger! The psychic impressions and the things that spirits say are a whole other story as well.

I was able to provide information from her story that no other writer had been able to uncover before. As far as the ward who was killed after his third escape attempt, that took place in 1919 as Anna Corbin’s murder took place in 1950. There are also so many other stories of wards as well as staff there that have never been told before.
