Disc Shaped Alien Craft Encounter In Georgia

Description (In Witness’s Own Words): A woman recalls a dramatic UFO sighting that occurred about 50 years ago.  She was staying with a friend at the time and she and her friend left to alert her friend’s father that dinner was ready.  The girl and her friend went to visit the father who was a couple of miles away working at an ice packing plant.  The two girls were about 10 years old at the time.  On the way back from visiting with the father they saw what they first thought was an airplane.  However, the “plane” rapidly descended upon them and hovered very close.  The witness said that the object was disk shaped, spinning, and had lights all along its perimeter.  Both of the girls were very frightened and eventually covered and hid under the bushes.  They then looked up and the object rapidly ascended straight up, stopped and took off rapidly to the left. It disappeared in a matter of seconds.  The woman recently talked to her friend who experienced the sighting.  Her friend is quite ill and couldn’t recall details of the sighting. The witnesses told their parents about the sighting, but told no one else.

Investigator’s Notes:  I interviewed the primary witness via phone.  She was quite excited about this sighting and never has forgotten it.  She said that she dreamed about flying saucers for about a year after this sighting.  This sighting occurred around the same time (August, 1955) that the close encounter at Kelly, Kentucky occurred.  Little investigation can be done with this case.  I will be checking other UFO databases to see if other sightings occurred in the area in the same time period.
