Witnesses Lost I Day In Time On A Grand Canyon Rapids Trip.

The light was fixed on us and had a diameter of what I estimate to be 40 feet, it did not illuminate the canyon. I remember the light disappearing instantly, it did not travel along the ground in any direction, rather stayed still and appeared to be sucked back up from where it came from. Those of us sitting together did not talk for near a minute after the camp returned to darkness. Someone said, “did you guys see that?” to which everyone replied yes. We continued to sit in silence for a little and noted how weird it was and slowly left the camp circle, returning to our cots. The next day, we asked those in the party who were not in the camp circle if they had seen the weird light last night.

They said that they had not, but some of the group was concerned because after reviewing our map to plan the day, our navigator said we were a day behind where we were supposed to be. This was not typical as we had planned out everything and meticulously followed our schedule and marked our distances. We chalked it up to a navigational error and had to travel double distance the next day. No one in the group reported seeing or hearing anything in the sky above us and there were no other people within 15 miles of us and our location was so extremely remote.
