12 Years Later Columbine Student Rachel Scott's Father Speaks Out On The School Shooting Video
Guess our national leaders didn’t expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert!
“Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence.
“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association.
“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter.
Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You’ve stripped away our heritage,
You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question “Why?”
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!
“Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc.
“As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right!
My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!”

NAILED IT! The villian is liberalism that seeks to remove blame from the evil in the individual heart and put the blame on ‘society’ or ‘freedom’. You cannot remove hate with a law, or stop death by banning guns, because “sin brings for death”, not a gun. The recognition of SIN is what’s lacking in this society not more laws that do nothing to change the heart.
Laws will not change the behavior of the insane. Simply calling it evil is just lazy. Making it harder for them to obtain high capacity magazines is the only thing that can limit the carnage they can do. The second amendment does not apply to ammunition.
Anyone selling a gun to someone without a background check should make them an accomplice in any crime committed with it.

And of course once all the semi-automatics and high capacity magazines are outlawed, criminals and lunatics won’t be able to procure all the weapons and ammo their violent little hearts desire.

I don’t live in the US, I am in Europe. We do not have guns, only a tiny proportion of the population have guns, and they are for sporting purposes only. They have to have a gun licence, and the guns have to be stored in approved, locked cabinets at all times. It is illegal to carry a gun in public unless it is in a sealed carry bag. Even BB guns have to be bright orange unless the owner is a member of a club, in which case they can paint them black, but they are still not allowed to carry them around on public display. If a gun is seen, it can be safely assumed that the carrier has ill intent, and appropriate action is taken by the police in seconds via armed response units. A gun is recognised as having one purpose, and that is to kill people.
Yes, criminals have guns. They are apparently not difficult to obtain illegally. The difference is that they dare not let them be seen in public, a gun is for criminal intent by default. No one has a gun in public for any other reason. That is the default in our culture. If you have a gun in public you run the very real risk of being shot by the police. Anyone with a gun is a potential murderer, is a risk to society, and is treated as such.
Only trained armed response police carry any weapons. All UK police are unarmed. This is the norm. I can walk the streets, and know that the very lowest risk to me is someone with a gun being around. It just doesn’t happen because it can’t happen. There are no guns anywhere except in locked cabinets, or in the hands of criminals. I have never seen a gun in my life and I am 56.
How the US solves its problems is down to the democratic process in the US. Whatever happens it will be a long haul. It will take decades to remove guns from general circulation and in the meantime, more atrocities will undoubtedly occur. Maybe it will be a member of your family that is executed next. The problem will never be solved until someone has the balls to solve it, the cowards will walk away from the problem, until the problem affects them personally. The intelligent will have no problem identifying the solution, the problem arises in convincing the less intelligent to implement it.

I seem to recall an article that even with some of the strongest gun control laws in the world Europe is right up there and maybe even a little ahead of the USA on mass killings
In fact there is a break down of annual averages. In the U.S. the yearly average of people killed in mass killing is 10.6, whereas in Europe it is 12.5. And again there is this interesting little tid bit:
“all the multiple-victim public shootings in Western Europe have occurred in places where civilians are not permitted to carry guns. The same is true in the United States: All the public shootings in which more than three people have been killed have occurred in places where civilians may not legally bring guns. “
I would say you could go a lifetime in the USA with out ever seeing a gun if you lived in some areas

For these monsters the experiment was a success! The shooting was a show of force to test the rest of the world. “If you invade the U.S. this is what you’ll have to deal with an armed population of psychopathic killers on drugs!” The Red pill is always hard to swallow…

Wow, this is stupid. What exactly is the sentiment? That we can stop violence by having prayer in school? That the accusers of the NRA are the same people taking prayer out of public school. That in order for the children to have not died in vain, their legacy should be exploited to get prayer in school? Also, no one is telling kids it’s against the law to pray for your life during a school shooting. What a waste of breath this was.
