MSNBC Host Floats Conspiracy Theory That Putin Orchestrated Chemical Attack In Syria

There is nothing quite like watching the left get themselves into a tizzy over a military action carried out by a Republican. It’s never a question of whether it’s right or wrong. The left does one of two things:

1. They question the motives of the Republican

2. They go conspiracy theory

Sometimes it is a combination of both.

In the case of Donald Trump, many people are going with option one, citing his weak poll numbers and going back to tweets where he accused Barack Obama of doing the same when his poll numbers were low.

For Lawrence O’Donnell, he decided to go conspiracy theory, suggesting Vladimir Putin orchestrated events in Syria this week to benefit Donald Trump.

If you notice, he doesn’t come out and say it. He’s just “asking questions.”

“Wouldn’t it be nice,” O’Donnell asked a nodding, smiling Rachel Maddow, “if it was just completely, totally, absolutely impossible to suspect that Vladimir Putin orchestrated what happened in Syria this week — so that his friend in the White House could have a big night with missiles and all the praises he’s picked up over the past 24 hours?”

The theory was impossible to rule out, O’Donnell said, because of the Trump campaign’s ties to the Russian government.

Right.

Hey, Lawrence, who was it that told Medvedev that he should tell Putin after the 2012 election he’d have more wiggle room during a hot-mic moment?

It wasn’t Donald Trump.
