Chops Busted: Don Lemon Blames CNN Threats On Trump but is Rendered Silent by One Question from Dana Loesch
CNN might be the most recognized name in news, but infamy and fame are two totally different things. As of late, CNN has become something of a joke and host Don Lemon re-upped that after he blamed Donald Trump for the threats made against CNN and its staff.
However, radio show hostess and NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch made sure Lemon felt the full foolishness of his reasoning, and did it with one simple question.
As many of you may have heard, a Michigan man threatened to gun down every employee in the CNN building in Atlanta, Georgia. He was arrested by authorities after the obsessive phone calls he made were traced back to his home, and that was that.
Lemon, however, made it a point to give an entire segment of his show, CNN Tonight, to putting the blame for the threats on Donald Trump, since Trump is always referring to CNN as “fake news,” and that fake news was the “enemy of the people.”
“There’s nothing random about this. Nothing,” said Lemon. “This is what happens when the president of the United States, Donald Trump, repeatedly attacks members of the press simply for reporting facts he does not like.”
“I’ve heard from a number of very credible sources from within the White House that you watch this show,” he continued. “So, Mr. President, I’m going to speak directly to you: The caller who threatened to kill CNN employees made his threat using these words: ‘Fake news.’ … I wonder where he got those words.”

CNN may have become synonymous with the term “fake news” with the help of Donald Trump, however CNN has done very little to distance itself from the accusation. But I digress.
Loesch saw Lemon’s little rant and had a simple question.
“So by this logic, is Don saying that he and his party are responsible for the Democrat Bernie supporter who shot at a bunch of congressmen on a ball field nearly killing Scalise?” asked Loesch. “This was after their rhetoric of GOP killing everyone.”

Loesch is referring to the shooting in Alexandria, when a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter attempted to kill GOP members who were busy practicing for a baseball game. Rep. Steve Scalise was hit and critically wounded from the shooter’s rifle. Luckily he survived.
But Lemon’s response wasn’t so much a response. In fact, it was an all out dodge.
I’m not a Democrat. https://t.co/X4IZNuwCpr

Could’ve fooled us. Regardless, Loesch pressed him.
That isn’t the point — are you also blaming Democrats for a Democrat shooting up a ball field? https://t.co/Px8ycyZMcH

And Lemon has since gone silent. As of this writing, Lemon hasn’t answered Loesch’s question, and I doubt he will. He won’t because he can’t.
He can’t because Loesch’s point is a solid one. Democrats and leftists couldn’t distance themselves from the crazed Alexandria shooter fast enough, and if you had watched the media after the event, you’d realize that they were only reporting on it because they had to. If you haven’t heard a peep about it since, despite the fact that a sitting congressman almost died due to the “they’re going to kill us all” political rhetoric of the left, don’t be surprised.
While I do think the dramatics of the left fed into the gunman’s decision to attempt to take the lives of GOP congressmen, I don’t blame the Democrats, I blame the gunman. He was clearly out of his mind, and so is this Michigan man who threatened CNN. To say Bernie Sanders helped the Alexandria shooter pull the trigger would be partisan hysterics at best.
Lemon is wrong for this very reason, and I think he now knows it thanks one simple question from Loesch.
