Gas On The Dumpster Fire: Breitbart News Looking Into Firing Steve Bannon

In his years-long quest to try to push lukewarm Nationalism, Steve Bannon made one giant mistake that’s about to tear him to shreds – he forgot about the inherent power of the 1% here in the wonderful Land of the Free.

You see, multi-millionaires and billionaires typically lean heavily to the left on social issues, and routinely vary between far-left and center-right on economics – this is one place where being Jew or Goy usually doesn’t make a huge difference.

But notice something – I never said that the super-wealthy lean heavily towards Nationalism or economic policies that would benefit the common man.

To them, such beliefs threaten business and investments (including Breitbart News itself), and in most cases, they’re going to find it most expedient to cast off those who push these positions.

And that includes men like Bannon – an Alt-Lite figure even on the best of days.

President Donald Trump’s growing feud with Steve Bannon is threatening the former White House strategist’s leadership of the conservative Breitbart News website and upending Mr. Bannon’s plans to wage “war” on party incumbents he deemed insufficiently loyal to the White House agenda.

Mr. Trump said Mr. Bannon has “lost his mind” and that he has “nothing to do with me or my presidency,” a response to Mr. Bannon’s numerous incendiary comments—including insults about the president’s family—in a new book about the first year of the Trump administration.

Mr. Bannon’s longtime benefactors, billionaires Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah Mercer, are actively distancing from him even before the expected release of Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” according to two people close to the Mercers.

They and other Breitbart News Network LLC board members on Thursday were debating whether to oust Mr. Bannon as chairman, with many supportive of the move, according to a person familiar with the exchanges. Among the considerations are Breitbart’s contractual relationships with other entities, including Sirius XM radio, that involve Mr. Bannon.

The overwhelming majority of corporate types in the United States are essentially soulless figures who value profit and the bottom line ahead of morality, honor, and the greater good of the people.

Therefore, if calculations show terminating Bannon is best for shekel hoarding, expect to see a rather large alcoholic on the chopping block before too long.

Staffers at Breitbart, which Mr. Bannon has called his “killing machine,” described a “chaotic” day at the company, with writers—many personally recruited by Mr. Bannon—wondering whether he would last the day.

Asked Thursday whether Breitbart should oust Mr. Bannon, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said: “I certainly think that it’s something they should look at and consider.”

Wow.

Trump’s people are treating Bannon worse than they did Corey Lewandowski – arguably the man who designed the President’s winning campaign trail formula.

Doug Deason, a Texas-based GOP donor who has said he admires Mr. Bannon as a “brilliant guy” who played a critical role in getting Mr. Trump elected, said the former chief strategist’s ego has gotten the better of him. He said that would likely doom him with donors.

“He doesn’t have any credibility out there with anyone in the big donor class,” Mr. Deason said. “If you support the president, you can’t support Steve Bannon. Anyone who was even considering giving him money—I can’t imagine they would do that now.”

A serious gut-shot, but not a fatal blow, I think.

Bannon isn’t exactly a poor, starving man himself, and my guess is that there are enough middle-level sources of income for him to remain a figure into the future.

On a personal level I don’t especially feel any sympathy for Bannon, so really it comes down to how much damage this public feud can have on the Republican Party and Conservatism in general.

Can it combine with everything else to obliterate the GOP, and remove it from the gatekeeper position it has held on the right for decades?

Because in truth that is what it will take for the Alt-Right/Hard Right to gain influence and traction on a level not yet seen – destroy the diversionary platforms like Breitbart, and all of a sudden you’re going to see a huge vacuum for us to move into.

I don’t think it can influence the political sphere due to the broken status of this country and its institutions, but it sure will make the cultural battle much, much easier for us in the long run.
