Bolsonaro supporters rally outside hospital in Sao Paulo Brazil

Supporters of the stabbed far-right presidential front-runner Jair Bolsonaro gathered outside his hospital in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo with messages of support and even a giant hot air balloon depicting him sporting a grin and the V-sign.

Flavio Corvello, Bolsonaro supporter, (Portuguese): “We are in this event, it is a vigil, for health, for recovery and in defence of the life of Jair Bolsonaro. Everything is going very well here, we know he is recovering very well, we rely on the medical staff of the Albert Einstein hospital, we have here more than hundreds of people, ready for this patriotic vigil, where everything was combined with the staff of the hospital so that no problem would occur to anyone, it is an act that we are doing for life, for peace and especially for the recovery of Jair Bolsonaro.”

Maria Terezinha, Bolsonaro supporter, (Portuguese): “God has already given the victory to him so far and will give him more, in the name of God Bolsonaro will win in the first round, he will not get to go to the second round, I’m sure.”

Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of Jair Bolsonaro, (Portuguese): “I went down here very quickly to thank you, and to say that we can see from above. Jair Bolsonaro is recovering well, you may have seen today that he took a walk, in the ICU again, but he is still in ICU.
