The Fabled 'Puget Sound Monster' Finally Gets a Name with Help of Seattle Search Marketing Firm

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

For as long as people have been settling in and around Puget Sound, there have been rumors that a fabled monster lurks within the waters. Reports from spectators, boaters, and even people just visiting the beautiful beaches vary, but one thing is the same – there may be something lurking under the waters of Puget Sound.

“This is the Northwest’s version of the Loch Ness Monster”, said local historian, Thomas Crown. “People have long reported seeing a large, dark, moving shape under the waters of Puget Sound. No one is really sure what it looks like as reports vary, but people are pretty sure there is something under there.”

This mysterious monster has long been left unnamed due to the inability to pinpoint what it looks like or how it acts. That has left people calling it ‘The Puget Monster’, but local area residents want to give it an official name and that is where the folks at a local Seattle search marketing firm come in.

“We have long been fascinated with the idea that a monster is in Puget Sound”, said John Miller, an employee at the search marketing firm. “I have never seen one myself, but I have heard reports and really think there is something under the water. That is why I was so eager to help people in their quest to name the monster.”

The local Seattle search marketing firm has developed a local-based campaign that will encourage residents to join in and help name the monster. The search marketing firm has created social media accounts, Twitter hashtags, and websites that allow people to share and support certain names for the monster.

“We want this to be as interactive as possible”, explained Miller. “What people will do is visit their favorite website or the name that they wish would become the name of the monster. We will use our tracking software to determine what name is the most popular after a series of months and that is what the monster will be officially called.”

The idea of naming the ‘Puget Sound Monster’ is so popular that the governor of the state has joined in. Once the name of the monster is official, the state will issue an official declaration declaring the monster has a new name.

“This is a really great way to get everyone excited and upbeat about the state”, explained the governor in a statement. “I think this will really get people excited about the state and joining in on this central activity. I am excited to see what the residents name the monster.”
