NEW VISION ON THE IMPORTANCE OF RETINAL LASER TREATMENTS

The human eye is made up of many different components that are responsible for transferring information in the form of images. One of the most fundamental parts out of these includes the retina, also extremely delicate at the same time. In a recently conducted survey on how much the public in Dubai were actually aware of eye problems and their solutions, it was discovered that alarmingly, a majority was not aware about the eye treatment options available to them and their effectiveness. Based on this, New Vision Eye Centre released its list of treatments available with a focus on Retinal Treatments. The retina is a very thin layer of lining that is at the back of your eye, which is responsible for the images you see. Due to its delicate nature, it is quite susceptible to wear and tear and if it is not treated in a timely and efficient manner you are looking at serious issues including even blindness. Holes and tears in the retina are some common issues that doctors face, including what is known as diabetic retinopathy. This is where retinal laser surgery comes into play of course different to LASIK treatment in Dubai, although both of them make use of a laser for treatment which is a highly intense beam of energy. It is quite a precise method of treatment as it only targets that area of tissue leaving the rest unscathed.
