DR. SAFWAN SPEAKS AT THE 4TH MAGRABI OPHTHALMOLOGY CONFERENCE IN ABU DHABI

Founder of New Vision Eye Center Dubai, Dr. Safwan Al-Bayati addressed the audience at the ophthalmology conference in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Safwan Al-Bayati, founder of one of Dubai’s foremost ophthalmology clinics New Vision Eye Center, attended and addressed the gathering at the 4th Magrabi Ophthalmology Conference in Abu Dhabi which was held from 22nd-24th January, 2017. Addressing a variety of issues concerning eye health, he also particularly focused on the road forward for LASIK in Dubai in the New Year.

Ophthalmology conferences are frequently held in different cities around the world. They are organised and held with the intent of better educating and drawing attention to a range of issues around eye health. These conferences are considered to be invaluable in the field, as they draw seniors and experts as well as researchers from all corners of the globe under one roof. This allows everyone to raise questions, concerns and discuss solutions and developments that are necessary. Topics are generally discussed on both a worldwide and domestic basis, such as LASIK eye surgery in Dubai for instance. Such conferences also allow for the effective dissemination of information that simultaneously introduce new equipment and technologies that could be used in respective countries. ‘Ever since I embarked down this field, I always made it a point to attend as many of these conferences as time permits. If time is a restriction, I make sure to attend the very important ones so as to balance things out. However, I never go a year without attending any conferences at all. I believe it is critical not only for the success of your practice, but more for the well-being of your patients. It is a matter of morality and putting your heart and soul into what you believe. I firmly stand by the fact that education does indeed improve everything you do. You never stop learning. Especially in this day and age when technology is rapidly taking over, it is essential that you stay abreast of developments in whatever you do. Whether this concerns LASIK treatment in Dubai or mobile applications for business, it remains the same.
