Disappearing Dead Sea: Sinkholes As Deep As Eight-Story Buildings Cover The Biblical Place (+Video)
The Dead Sea – the lowest place on earth – is disappearing at an alarming rate, leaving behind thousands of sinkholes that are chipping away at the coastlines vibrant and touristy atmosphere.
The Dead Sea – (also known as Lake of Asphalt, Salt Sea, ‘Sea of Sodom and Gomorrah’) – is known for being almost 10 times as salty as the ocean and for having the lowest elevation on Earth. However, over the last few decades, the shoreline has become known for sinkholes that appear to just pop up out of nowhere.
More than 3,000 sinkholes exist along the banks of the Dead Sea, ABC News reported. And some of these craters dive 80 feet into the ground – the equivalent of about an eight-story building.
Remember the sinkholes recently found in Russia and in many other countries all over the world.
It is now a worldwide ‘strange’ phenomenon

The video is a waste of time. The dead sea is famous for it’s extreme salinity, underneath are huge salt domes that melt leaving holes. It’s normal geological activity, not supernatural.
I’ve been to the dead sea, Pix. It is definitely shrinking, but the video doesn’t actually suggest anything “supernatural”.. quite the opposite.. recognized as a severe environmental issue.
Who cares about the Dead Sea? It’s already dead, hence the name.
I care.. the dead sea is not “dead”. It is an experience that is unequaled for all states of being – mind, body, and spirit.
