The Conservative Tribune reports, Could Russia be behind the murder of a 27-year-old Democrat National Committee staffer? Some Republicans are asking for an investigation after new clues emerged that the Kremlin could have had a hand in DNC data analyst Seth Rich’s death. According to the U.K. Daily Mail, GOP lobbyist Jack Burkman cited new evidence that suggested Russia played a part in Rich’s murder.
Rich, 27, was shot and killed in July in Washington, D.C., in what police have speculated was a botched robbery.
But the killer didn’t take Rich’s wallet, watch or phone, and his death has since fueled numerous conspiracy theories on Reddit— with online commenters suggesting that Rich was an FBI informant, and that he was responsible for leaking the 30,000 DNC emails to Wikileaks, at the behest of a powerful Bernie Sanders donor. No arrests have been made in the murder and there is no known plausible evidence giving credence to any of the conspiracy theories. – Fox News

Seth was no doubt taken out by the DNC for providing Wikileaks with the emails. He has been named as the source of the emails. The botched robbery classification is indicative of a coverup. Now in correlation with the phony Russian accusations against the Trump cabinet. What I find ironic is that even if Trump’s cabinet did meet with Russian officials that wasn’t against the law. If they talked about the presidential election, there is no law preventing that exchange. Even if they talked about the policy differences of the incoming Administration there is absolutely no law against
If Russia didn’t hack our voting machines and they didn’t, if they weren’t busted stuffing ballot boxes, voting illegally or intimidating voters to vote for Trump of what consequence would such innocent conversation be? I have to ask the Progressive Democrats exactly what legal statute, penal code or law restricts two government officials from friendly nations discussing even in detail the schematic of the American presidential election. Most of what would be discussed is already in public access.
The Logan Act is a federal law that restricts an unauthorized citizen from negotiating with the enemy, or as the law reads; foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. The law was designed to curtail folks undermining the EXISTING government’s policy or position, not a future or incoming administrations. In the case of Trump’s cabinet those who spoke with Russian, who is not in conflict with the United States, never attempted to undermine the Obama government. Even if they outlined in detail the distinct policy differences and perhaps discussed removing existing sanctions should negotiation prevail after the changing of the Administration there is no law that prevents such conversations.
