Is there a "Secret Rapture". Yes but It's Not a Secret.

Probably one of the most controversial Biblical topics has been the resurrection and rapture.  Even the Apostle Paul had to deal with people that didn’t believe in the resurrection.  Today most people believe in the resurrection, but many don’t believe in the rapture.  They call it a “secret rapture” along with all the reasons why it won’t happen.  But if they read the Bible they would clearly see that the resurrection and rapture happen at the same time as one event, so what they say cannot be, you can’t have one without the other.   Here is the scripture that makes that perfectly clear.     

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17  Notice the words “caught up together with them”.  Here is how it happens.  The resurrection happens first.  The dead come out of their graves.  Then those that are still alive join them and the whole group is caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  If you read this scripture a few times you will see that this is exactly what it says.  

Then let’s look at another scripture that talks about this.   Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  1 Corinthians 51-52.  Read the last part again.  It clearly says the dead are raised and we will be changed.   We know who the dead are, but who is the “we”.  Of course Paul means us, we, those of us still here.  Those of us still alive.  Who else could it be?  Paul knew how it works, he wrote both of these scriptures and they confirm one another.  This is why I always refer to this event as the resurrection/rapture because they happen as One Event.   Both at the same time.  This is clearly what the Bible teaches. 

No man knows the day or the hour that this event will happen.  Jesus said so.  But we know this:  If the Word of God says it will, you can be 100% sure that It Will Happen Exactly As Written.  God never lies.  He Always tells us the Truth.  Otherwise His Word would be totally unreliable and we could not depend on it.  But that’s not the case.  

So.  There IS going to be a rapture (catching away) of all believers, both dead and living.  Jesus spoke about it often.  You can read the article Resurrection/Rapture on my website to see all the times Jesus spoke about it.  Paul was not the only one, even the Old Testament teaches that “your dead will live, their bodies will rise…”   Isaiah 26:19 and other places throughout the old and new testament you can find scriptures that teach this.  Therefore Yes, there will be a resurrection and a rapture happening as one event.  And because no one knows the day or hour, we must be ready at all times because it could happen at a time when we least expect it to.  If you want to Make Sure you will be part of the group that meets the Lord in the air, you can Make Sure Here.  God Bless.
