1. OSC response to Oakland
discussed feelings around diversity of tactices, difficulty of
maintaining non-violent image; we will never be able to control
everyone’s actions (and we’re not trying to), reinforce our mission
statement and nonviolent intentions at all OSC consensed actions,
combat negative/ignorant media coverage of Occupy movement (maybe we
should protest large news outlets?)
2. collaboration w/ UCSC for their actions in early March
UCSC is planning a strike for March 1st, how can we help?
they need:
-food
-people to block entrances
-outreach (maybe we can help to reach the broader community)
-teach-ins for tent university (have something you can teach??)
-occupiers on the buses
-early birds (strike starts at 5 am, early -participation will be
critical and appreciated)
