(Fair or not, Palin is a prominent face of the party. When she came growling into Washington on that Harley and took it over for her own selfish purposes, many resented it. How many connected that action with the Republican Party?)
“In the past few weeks, Palin has shown all kinds of signs that she is running for president in 2012. She has bought a home in Arizona, hijacked a ride intended for veterans, released a book and announced a bus tour. All of these things say that she is building toward a run for the Republican nomination…or does it?
Rumors abound that Palin is simply building toward yet another payday. She has no real relevance without the possibility of running to fuel speculation. Could this be Palin simply being Palin?
If Palin is not intending to run for the Republican nomination, then she is simply being selfish. Her grandstanding makes it nearly impossible for fringe candidates to be heard. For the Republicans to win in 2012, they will need the very best they have to offer. How will voters know that with Palin taking up airspace and then backing out, like she did on her state of Alaska? (Can she see Alaska from her Arizona mansion?)
Maybe Palin is planning to run. Maybe that is supposed to somehow make all these things okay. The truth is, it really will not matter.

Guys, just to let you know for what is is worth: Palin’s recent bus tour is only a publicity stunt for her FOX show and for her merchandising, nothing else. She will eventually declare that she is not running for president — for a specific reason — that she is already contractually obligated not to run.
Here is why:
Earlier this year Roger Ailes implemented a shake-down at FOX. He wanted there to be no chance for conflict-of-interest scandals, and so he required that all paid commentators on FOX commit now-or-never on whether or not they intended to run for political office (eg, presidency).
Both Palin and Huckabee elected to remain on the FOX payroll — neither would run for president. Meanwhile, both Gingrich and Santorum opted off of the FOX payroll — because both intended to run for the president. Santorum will announce this on June 6. Gingrich has already shot his wad (no pun intended).
Just recently FOX reaffirmed that Palin is, and will remain, on the FOX payroll. With this in consideration, every single thing that either Palin or Huckabee has said or done over the past few months, which suggested that they might run, was nothing but a merchandising publicity stunt. Pailn’s recent rhetoric “I have fire in the belly,” is code for “I am not running, but I want to keep feeding the gullible so as to keep attention on myself for merchandising purposes.”
