Sony to Delay Launch of PlayStation 4 Until Microsoft Launches next Xbox
Kazuo Hirai of Sony was quoted announcing that the company will give Microsoft time to launch their new hardware before they move on to launch their next generation consoles. While giving the update, Kazuo was only trying to clear matters regarding their next generation devices launch where he only reason with the audience that there is really no sense in launching their next generation devices upfront and face the risk of giving ideas to their competitors who would then try to make something that is much better than what they have.
Kazuo’s comments may make one wonder whether his claims are logical. Considering the fact that PS Vita was launched way before Nintendo 3DS but still it is second to it in terms of hardware sales. Looking at it from another angle, it takes time to design and produce hardware, how would someone quickly add in other specs to the hardware once it is ready simply because an idea has been seen from somewhere? Nevertheless, it’s like Sony have made their mind and they will hold on to their PlayStation 4 until after Microsoft launches their next Xbox.
