NVIDIA clarifies why you can’t find a Shield TV anywhere

- In a statement to Android Authority, NVIDIA has clarified that the Shield TV is out of stock due to demand.
- However, the company didn’t confirm if the base Shield TV will be available again in the future.
NVIDIA may not have officially discontinued the $149 Shield TV, but it seems highly likely that it won’t come back in stock. Following reports a couple of days ago that the base variant of NVIDIA’s Android TV wasn’t in stock across multiple retailers, the company has replied to our request for comment on the matter.
