Strong Flare Observed (M9.2)
Sunspot 2297 turning into view in the southeast quadrant produced a strong M9.2 solar flare peaking at 22:22 UTC Saturday evening. The event was associated with Type II and IV radio emissions and a coronal mass ejection (CME) is now becoming visible in the latest coronagraph imagery. Most of the ejected plasma is expected to be directed to the east.
