Revival Before Tribulation?

For the last several years I’ve read Charisma Magazine which advocates for the gifts of the Holy Spirit; I wholeheartedly agree they are for today. Anyone who is at all tuned in to how God is moving in third-world countries, particularly among Muslims, sees that many people are coming to Christ through dreams, visions, healings, and miracles. How anyone can say these gifts ceased at the end of the first century must be deliberately avoiding this overwhelming evidence. In addition, I’ve personally seen these gifts at work with words of knowledge, speaking in tongues with interpretation, healings, and more.
That said, many well-known and respected men and women in the charismatic and Pentecostal community with prophetic gifts write in the pages of Charisma. More times than I can recount, they declare a coming revival of great proportions. These prophetic declarations have always confused me.
I’d like to see these wonderful revivals as much as anyone, but the problem I have is that I simply don’t see them happening when I look for Scriptural confirmation. Oh, there is a massive revival—of every nation, tribe, people, and language; but it doesn’t happen in this world as we currently know it.
The Bible clearly shows us that we are in an age of grace that we call the Church Age. According to the prophet Daniel, there would be 70 weeks of years from the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah’s Second Coming. This is a total of 490 years. What Daniel and any of the other Old Testament prophets didn’t see was the gap of the Church Age. We’ve counted down the first 69 of these weeks, or 483 years; but there’s still one more 7-year period to go.
Many passages in Scripture point to the degrading passions of man and how he will become more and more sinful:
“And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper” (Romans 1:28).
“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves”(2 Peter 2:1).
“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron” (2 Timothy 4: 1-2).
These passages show that the church is not immune, and many in the church will fall away from God.
Now, it’s a lovely thought that a great revival will put a halt to this entropy (2nd Law of Thermodynamics: everything in the universe runs down and moves from order to chaos). In fact, those who advocate for this grand revival typically hold to the erroneous positions of Preterism or Kingdom Now (aka Dominionism or New Apostolic Reformation). They believe the church is going to move into a golden age, in which the church grows and shines and attracts so many that the whole world is transformed. This leads ultimately to the point when the church presents this world on a Christian platter to Jesus when He returns.
Notice, in this view, that the emphasis is on the works of the church and not the redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
The Bible says nothing like this will happen. Where these people get this idea is beyond me. Scripture tells us that times will grow dark. Look at Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:4, 6, 9, 12:
“And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘See to it that no one misleads you…You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars…Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name…Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.’”
Then read the Book of Revelation. The Apostle John, echoing Jesus, says those who read this book will be blessed (Revelation 1:3). It’s an important book to read and understand. It seems to me that the Preterist/NAR folks have read this with a veil over their eyes. It’s a book meant to be taken literally, just like the other 65 books of the Bible. Yes, there is symbolism, but the Bible interprets itself. As the prophet Amos said:
“Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).
God tells us what He has in store. Revelation is given to us by God to know what is to come.
What is coming is great upheaval in the world—much of which we’re seeing now as birth pains (Matthew 24:8). The Rapture of the Church is imminent. We’re so close to this event (which many unfortunately deny) we can almost touch it. Then, following the snatching away of God’s people, the 7-year Tribulation will come.
This is the most horrible time conceivable on the earth—ALL of it being the wrath of God as He rains down judgment upon an unbelieving world. Believers are gone. We’ve been caught away (Gr. “harpazo”) by Jesus when He comes in the clouds. We’ve been removed for this time because we’ve been saved by grace and don’t fit the definition of being unbelievers subject to God’s wrath.
During the Tribulation, untold millions of people will choose to believe in Jesus rather than take the mark of the beast, i.e. the antichrist. When they make this choice, they will be persecuted mercilessly, with the vast majority losing their lives through beheading. These are known as the Tribulation saints, and will comprise, as Revelation 6:9-11 says, those who have been slain because of their testimony, who cry out: “How long, O Lord?” THIS is the great revival of all ages, but it comes at immense cost.
All these prophetic voices today seem to miss this entire end-times scenario that the Bible foretells. My sense is that they’re in the theological camp that doesn’t believe in an imminent Rapture—that is, a pre-Tribulation Rapture—or perhaps in any Rapture at all. They seem to ignore, or don’t believe in, the coming Tribulation. They forget that God has said, “Vengeance is Mine” (Romans 12:19).
God so loves the world that He gave His only Son to die for our sins (John 3:16). He wants none to perish, but for all to come to a saving relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. But, although God’s patience is infinite, there’s also a time when He’s had enough. This world is rapidly approaching that point. The signs of the coming end of the age are converging and there for all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Jesus is coming soon. There will be a great revival. However, sadly, it will only occur once true believers are taken from the earth along with the dead in Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). At that time, the man of lawlessness—the antichrist—will be revealed, and the Tribulation will soon begin.
Read Revelation. If you aren’t currently a believer in Jesus Christ, the last thing you or anyone should ever want is to go through the Tribulation. By the sixth Seal Judgment, about two BILLION people alone perish through war, famine, plague, and persecution. It will be horrendous.
You will have two choices during that time:
- Choose Christ and likely die from persecution.
- Choose the mark of the beast and go to hell with eternal separation from God.
Choose Jesus NOW! I implore you.
And for those of you who already know Him, warn those who don’t. Time is running out. Soon it’ll be too late to make the easy choice of following Jesus. It won’t be long before that will be a very costly—yet immensely necessary—choice to avoid eternal damnation and suffering in the Lake of Fire.
Jesus is coming soon. As Luke 21:28 says: “Look up, for your redemption draws near!”

If you want spiritual revival in America you have to decide what is to be revived.
The word says that in the last days some will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits. Yet what is often overlooked is a definition as to what is actually being seduced. It has to do with our flesh. Hence when a perversion of the gifts of the spirit places emphasis on experience we lose sight of our first love.
True revival will take us back to the basic tenents of the gospel. It will be about personal reflection, repentance and the willingness of the bride to make herself ready. To accomplish this readiness emphasis on the Cross of Christ will become of major importance since it offers us away of escape from a sinful life as well as a way out of our foolish religious antics.

Rapture ready should be Apostasy ready..

There is an over abundance of proof/evidence in scripture which completely refutes your statement of the “snatching away” first and then the 7 yr. tribulation. I have come to this conclusion: either God Has Sent you this delusion because you hate the Truth or you are a deliberate deceiver.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will be allowed by God to use every kind of evil deception to deceive those on their way to destruction, because they would not accept and love the Truth that would save them. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.
Luke 17:26-37 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man…WHEN YOU GET TO VERSES 35-37, THESE VERSES ARE NOT REFERRING TO “RAPTURE”. In that totally false doctrine, many believe this: that they will be taken away before any calamity happens.
If we are in Christ, we are saved only from the great Wrath of God and only if we are found worthy. We all must go through tribulation in one form (s) or another.

“Pre-Trib” and the word “rapture” is not now, nor never has been, in the Holy Word of God. We are not promised to be taken from the upcoming Great Tribulation; which is Satan’s wrath against God’s people and the world. (Matthew 24)
However, we, those of Christ who have been counted worthy by Christ, are promised safety from the Wrath of God and the Seven Vials of His Wrath if we follow His Ways and pray to be accounted worthy.
Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
The term “rapture” and it’s “meaning” is not in the bible. It became a false teaching accepted by the lukewarm church in the 1830’s (and up to today) by Edward Irving and Margaret McDonald, and again in 1870’s by a Presbyterian minister of the Plymouth Brethren named John Nelson Darby. Darby became the father of dispensationalism, which eventually enticed non discerning Christians into advocating the creation of state of Israel within a satanic political movement known as ZIONISM.
If you follow any “political” movement; politics/politician for your safety, your goods, or for what ever other reason, instead of following Christ EXCLUSIVELY, you are following Satan, though you may not realize it. Remember, he deceives wonderfully. If he could deceive 1/3 of God’s once holy messengers, who at one time stood before God in righteousness, how much more can he deceive us…mere humans! But by all means, pray for all people in the world.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow/TRIBULATED is the way, which leadeth unto Life, +and few there be that find it.

The Rapture/Harpazo will be literally Breathtaking, Spectacular and Awesome for those who hold onto their crowns, for those whom never got one or have had it taken away from them by false doctrines NOT SO….

For those believers who may believe in the “rapture”before anything happens to you, you may want to read Matthew 24: 29-31, Isaiah Ch 13, Joel 2:10, Joel 3:15, Luke 21:26
Luke 21:26 speaks of mankind’s courage failing because of what’s coming upon them. Many people from the “churches”, will have already been completely deceived by or before this time through believing in false doctrines taught to them by the false teachers who are hirelings from today’s churches. Their trust or faith in Christ had not been truly converted. And all because they did not go to HIM and HIM Only. John 5:39-40

By depending on what “everyone else says” instead of what Lord Jesus Christ says and in particular by depending on what pastors, preachers, priests, father this or that, rabbis etc. tell us, is exactly going against God’s Commands. Does God Who is All in All have to be divided into 3. Is He not God enough to be ONE GODHEAD Who Gives His Holy Spirit to His called out ones? Is He not God enough that He cannot Send Himself to earth and manifest Himself, as a human, to be a Holy Example to us.
Revelation 14:12 says it all: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the Commandments of God, and the Faith (trust) of Jesus.
So that I can more understand what you are trying to say, would you please explain the verses I posted on my first comment mean and the ones at the end of this comment mean if not: no pre-tribulation rapture.

Do this in the face of death is one of the ways we “endure to the end.”

Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the chruches. In this, Noah and the eight saved, God Is Teaching us this lesson; to prepare spiritually; to get right with Him by listening/hearing what He Is Telling us, and to obey. Obeying is always for our own good, because the enemy is out and about trying to deceive and have us killed before we come to God’s Truth.
Only a relatively small number of people will be spiritually saved (which is what 8 signifies). He is NOT as concerned with our physical safety as much as He Is with our spiritual safety. Thus His Warnings from the beginning…Genesis, to the end of it; the Revelation of Christ. There will also be a small number of people saved physically.
Very important:
How a “leader” of “religious settings” responds to your questions or your questioning of “doctrine”, will tell you whether they are sincerely serving God or serving themselves; a false teacher teaching a false “religion”. Again, there is a false doctrine that Lord Jesus Christ hates and that is the Doctrine of the Nicolaitanes. This doctrine includes anyone who uses their so-called “leadership position” to manipulate or browbeat others, in any way. Lord Jesus Christ hates this and Says so in Rev 2:6 and Rev 2:15. If anyone applies this tactic, he/she is going up against Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Very bad place to be. EZ 34: 2-3, EZ 34: 10-11, JER 10:21, JER,12:10, JER 22:22 , JER 23:1-2
With that said, we all should take a close look at what God Says; not what our wisdom says. He is the Author and Creator of everything.
As God, through Peter explains in 1Peter 3:20, that the long suffering of God waited while Noah warned the people that the Judgment of God will come; all the while Noah was building the ark, some 100 years. But they continued on as they usually did. They laughed and mocked Noah until the day of the flood. The exact same thing is going on today. However, according to the Word of God, the majority of the so-called “House” of God along with the world is under judgment; a much more severe judgment for the fallen away ones who call themselves of Christ, when the Son of God Returns. He is waiting patiently while the world is warned by precious few. But, most will still carry on as in the days of Noah. Many of the ones who do call themselves by Christ’s Name do and or will rage the most at the warnings of others because they are already “wise in their own eyes.” See John 16:1-4; esp. vs 2, then see John 18:36.

God is not releasing the Antichrist. Satan, ruling on this earth does this. (God Allows it) He, Satan is/has always been rampaging only it’s going to get worse. Ask yourselves this. Are we, here, now, more important than called out ones from the past…including God’s prophets, His disciples and Christ Himself, to be saved from Satan’s wrath. Are we more important than the babies and children that have been raped to death by monstrous pedophiles?
