Jesus - 'In the Midst of the Darkness, Shine'

This is a particularly good reading from Jesus. Yes, we are going into hard times when what we have known will fade and eventually disappear, but the Light, the hope, within ourselves never passes away. That’s our creative energy, or the energy of God within us.

Jesus.

‘For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you (Ephesians 5:14)’.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only. May 2, 2020 – ‘Break through, Repentance, Confession. Hope. My people [believers, those called by His Name] must NOW regain what has been sacrificed on the altar of Baal.’

The fires of hell rage against America, stand strong against the raging evil. Lift JESUS higher, regardless of how bad things look or become, lift JESUS higher. The world’ only hope is in Him. Be the light, not a part of the darkness. Covid19 brought an awakening, forcing man to take a hard look at himself, to look deep within. Many will come home, return to Me, repent. Hard, harsh days will follow as man’ heart will grow cold, more distant. Persecution will increase, America has crossed over into enemy territory, willingly she races toward her own destruction.

‘I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you (Philippians 1″6)’.

A revival of fire is coming; distractions, division, circumstances, criticism must not hinder or hamper the fire. Allow the fire to consume all within you that is not of Me. My people, those who belong to Me, will walk upright through trouble and pain, heartache and woe. Eyes perhaps a bit dim, but walking with assurance they will. As they make their way through the trials of life great joy fills their hearts as tears fill their eyes…‘do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day (2 Corinthians 4:16)’. Stand on My promises; not swayed by circumstances, keep your eyes fixed on Me. See beyond today into a brighter tomorrow.

Buddha’s Teaching – ‘Be a Lamp unto Yourself’ by K. Satchidananda Murty.
“Ten months before the Buddha’s death, when he was staying at Veluva village, he fell ill. It was a serious sickness with sharp pains and it was thought he might die; but he subdued his illness by a great effort of will. Then his dear disciple Ananda said to him:

‘You must not pass away before you have given final instructions to the Order (sangha). We all expect you to live forever, but in case you choose not to do so, we hope that you will give us your final instructions.’

A very interesting discourse followed. the Buddha first stated: “I have never made a distinction between exoteric and esoteric doctrines. I have never kept back any saving truth.” And He added: “I never had a desire; nor do I have any now. I do not want the sangha to be dependent on me. So why should Ananda or anybody else ask for final instructions?’ A  second point he made was that he was old and approaching the end of his life; he could keep his body intact only with great care. He was happy and peaceful in what is technically called ‘animittaceto-samadhi (samadhi unconcerned with any material object). Then followed the famous utterance which in the well-known translation of Rhys Davids runs like this:

Therefore, O Ananda, be lamps unto yourselves.
Be a refuge to yourselves,
Betake yourselves to no external refuge.
Hold fast to the truth as a lamp.
Hold fast as refuge to the truth.
Look not for refuge to anyone besides yourselves.

In the Burmese translation..

Therefore Ananda, let yourselves be your own firm support.
Let yourselves and not anyone
    or anything else be your refuge.
Let the Dharma (teaching) be as an island.
Let the Dharma and not anything else be your refuge.
