Pastor Dana Coverstone - 'The Mud Dream', given February 18-20th 2021 (includes transcript)

This is probably one of the most important videos you will ever see… The “masks” worn by people in the dream who were on the banks of the mud and filth that the ‘believers” were trudging through, represents the personality, or ego mind (the concrete mind). ‘Persona’ in Latin means “mask of the soul” The personality looks outward while the soul looks inward to the Heart of things. The personality cannot see the soul and no exercise (ambition) of the personality can make it so…. Only the spirit (oneness) can look down and see the gold struggling in the heart of each life. What we are to go through is a test, and Jesus explains it very well: through agony we strengthen our spiritual legs.

Hey everybody. I appreciate you being with us.. this is Pastor Dana Coverstone, here with my good friends John Redenbo and Cherie Goff. I’m going to be sharing a dream that I had from February 18th to the 20th, and I’m discovering the value of having good friends that will pray and not just look at the dream and think, ‘What does this mean?’.. Who will pray, who will hear the Spirit’s voice.. and so I’m grateful to my two really great friends who helped me with this dream.

And when I have a dream, I share it with them, primarily, first and ask them to look through it.. look at it. Some have said. ‘Well why do you take so long to do that?’ Because I want to make sure that I get it right. I want to make sure I’ve heard it right. I want to make sure I share it right. I want to make sure that there are people I’m accountable to, who can look at that dream and- .. and that just make sense of it.. And I’m sure there are things that are very easy to see what the interpretations are, uh, but I’m thankful .. Well, I have some great friends in my life for helping me with that.

So just going to share this. I’m calling this ‘The Mud’. It was a dream I had from February, the 18th to the 20th, and here’s what.. Here is what I saw:

I saw a landscape of ice and snow, and there was a fog over the ground that was a fog over the ground that was so thick I could not see through it. And then it began to clear. And as that fog cleared, I saw the outline of the southern coastal states from Texas, over, all the way to Florida. And I could see buildings that resembled churches.. they had steeples that obviously had crosses and things.. So they were buildings that resembled churches in each of those southern states. And there was smoke coming out of each one of those churches, and there were many believers praying earnestly and loudly in them. And I could hear those people praying out loud. They were repenting.. They were confessing the sins of the nation and their own sins as well. It was very much like a Daniel prayer.

And there were many tears and there was wailing .. wailing as their lost loved ones had been brought up in their prayers. These people were praying for family members and moms and dads, and husbands and wives, and kids, who were not serving the Lord. They asked for forgiveness for being an inadequate witness, and for being anchored to sins that they knew that were wrong, but they had kept holding on to .. the chain. And because of that it ruined their walk with the Lord. So they were anchored to things that they knew they shouldn’t be doing. And the louder that they prayed, and the more aggressive that they prayed as they confessed, I saw that all this snow was beginning to melt. I saw that the ice began to disappear, and the snow disappeared.

And as it happened.. This began to happen in every state, but it also was happening from right around the church. It started.. It didn’t start out in the countryside, or in the land.. It started- The snow began to melt away from the church and it just kept melting consistently.. and that happened  as they prayed louder and more aggressively. This also began to happen- every state began to see more of the United States. It was happening in every single state.. and as the snow disappeared over the corporate United States of America, it left behind this gray mud.. and you could tell it was like death and decay.. um, In the dream.. and that’s going to sound strange.. but I could tell that it smelled like death and decay. It was just decay. It was gray – it was no life in it. There was very little green vegetation, no leaves on the trees. The ground was dead and exposed, even the grass was just like old dead and brown.

The believers went out from the churches and they began holding their noses. And they were asking God why he had not answered their prayers to bring restoration to the land. And then the heavens opened and the Voice of God said this: “Work with the mud you’ve been given.” And some immediately complained and began to speak of the hours they’d prayed, expecting to have a better return for their prayers.. And  once more the Voice said: “Work with the mud you’ve been given.” .. and the Voice was firmer this time than before. And a cloud then appeared, and it was basically in the middle of the United States, and the believers began to follow and walk towards that cloud. And even though they.. the cloud was heading them,.. or heading for that cloud, it was directly over some of the muddiest and the most decayed ground.

And those that walked away, uh, past, I’m sorry .. Several also walked away though from when they were following the cloud. They walked away as if they were heading.. because of how bad it looked they were starting to head away. And those that walked away, they passed the churches, they left their prayer guides and their bibles, and they said, “We will find better ground, and the god that will honor our prayers”. And the ones that did follow the clouds, soon were in the mud up to their knees and they were struggling to move.. but they gritted their teeth.. I saw the muscles and the veins in their arms stretching out as they were- as they were pushing.. It was hard work, and they pushed forward. And then very suddenly I heard the howling of wolves. It was all around, and the mud walkers, they stopped quickly to listen. But they didn’t give in to their fears. Nobody panicked and they just kept back.

They got their eyes on the cloud and they started walking towards that cloud again through the mud. And within moments there were hundreds of black wolves, very similar to the ones I saw in the other dream, that had been worked up and that with these black wolves where they were pushing through the mud, they were trying to get very close to believers. And they would snarl, they would try to bite, but were seemingly being held back at the last minute. They got very very close to the people but they would be pulled back, almost like rope was on them.. and they were at times inches from the faces of the people. But the people stayed focused on following the cloud and they kept looking up as a group to see the cloud. And the sky was clear, but the ground was muddy and it was ashen gray, and people.. these.. Everybody’s shirts were just covered in sweat. You could tell it was work, what they were doing, trudging through this mud.

And then the scene changed where, um, I was seeing once again the entire States, and in each state there seemed to be people who were all trudging through the mud, towards this cloud at the very center of the nation. It was drawing the believers to what seemed like, almost like, a central point, trying to get to the middle of things. And the cloud wasn’t moving, it was stationary. But everyone was pushing through the mud and avoiding the wolves, all along the way. So this wasn’t just happening in the southern states, it was happening all over the country. But the closer they would get to the cloud, the wolves began making contact. They were leaving marks – bite marks .. on the people’s arms and shoulders, yet the people continued walking and moving.

Uh, the landscape was litered with the prints of the wolves and they were innumerable and their eyes began to glow with an intensity like I had seen in the other dreams, that.. that bright red almost like a led light in their eyes. And they were being provoked by the winds, I could hear the howling of the winds. It was.. it was stirring up their fur, and you could just see the wind blowing on them. But they were being provoked not just by the winds, but as well by people who were wearing masks, and the masks that these people were wearing were skulls, witches faces, faces of demons.. and they were all on the outside of the mud.

And these people were screaming curses and blasphemous words at the believers in the mud.. calling them haters and dividers. And there were no specific leaders as they moved along those in the mud, but some of them threw rocks and sticks. And these sticks resembled arrows, and they were thrown at the ones in the mud, and yet the believers kept pushing through towards the cloud. And though they were covered up to their necks now in mud.. not that.. Literally they were covered.. Their.. their arms were covered in mud, their shirts were were covered in mud. They weren’t up to their- their.. They weren’t walking in mud this deep.. that was what I was seeing. They were simply covered in mud from the work and the fight trudging through.

And uh, the ones, literally, uh, they also.. they were pulling, uh, some of the weaker ones by their hands. And a few were riding on the back of those that were stronger. It reminds me very much of the September Psalm Assembly event.. the prayer event dream that I had were I saw believers helping each other out and going through things and trying to, you know, encourage them. But the ones that had started in the mud, they remained in the mud. Nobody had gotten out, but they were.. they almost.. they- and though most of them had looked at the more solid ground around them, they were like looking at.. like they wanted to get there.. They realised it was easier to walk on that path, but they were in the mud together and walking forwards.

A few of them paused though to consider getting out of that mud, and at that point I saw several get out, because the mud was getting deeper. It was getting harder, and they were helped by some of the people who were wearing the masks. And once those people were out of the mud they were given masks and began to taunt those in the mud. And they said, ‘The mud is not God’s plan, He has deceived you and yet you follow without thinking for yourselves’.. And then that Christ figure that I always see appeared in a white robe with angels all around Him, and He had a scepter. It was just a big scepter in his hand, in his right hand.. And he spread his arms just like this.. just out like this, and He spoke and He said loudly, “My ways are not your ways. Your spiritual legs will be strengthened through agony, and your witness will defend the naive and those who have no fear of Me..

“Bracing gives way to fire, and those braced must remain on the path. My command has come out from among them. Separate yourself, as the chaff is about to burn, and their smoke will fill the skies” .. At this point.. At this point in the dream, I saw absolute green lightning. It was green, almost like an, uh, a.. an emerald green. Multiple thunderclaps filled the sky and it seemed like it lasted for a long time. And there were blinding flashes of light that lit the entire country up, and nothing, even the shadows disappeared. It would cover the entire country. And I saw when.. when those flashes of lightning went off, the wolves hid their faces in the earth, and the people harassing the believers hid their faces in shame.

And then the Christ figure was raised up. He was like, um.. I think of that verse, ‘If I be lifted up, I will draw all unto Me’ [John 12:32]. Jesus was lifted up, He ascended from the earth and looked down.. And he was raised in the sky, and He thrust his scepter straight down towards the Earth, and He shouted these words, “I am coming soon and My Reward is with me. Stay faithful until I Come”.

So that was the dream that I had. I had this over several nights, February 18th to 20th, and, uh, Cherie and John, I’ll turn this over to you now, to share your thoughts. [10m54s]
