Tim Tebow Released by Jets

Tim Tebow didn’t even make it to the weight room this morning when he reported to the New York Jets training center in New Jersey. Instead, he was called to manager John Idzik’s office and given the bad news.
According to Coach Rex Ryan, “Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward.”
So what’s Tebow’s reaction? Today he Twittered, “Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding…”
Tebow — an outspoken Christian who gained attention with references to Bible verses on his eye black — was with the Jets for 13 months. The team recently drafted Geno Smith, who’ll be competing with Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy and David Garrard for starting quarterback.
Speculation about Tebow’s future includes possibilities with the Chicago Bears, the Canadian Football League and a team from the Arena Football League — the Orlando Predators.
