The Anti-Kicker Strategy Use The Anti-Kicker Strategy to win your league and make a statement. I will never understand the argument for using kickers in fantasy football. They aren’t predictable, they are fluky, they are kickers. In this day and age, many leagues are transitioning away from using kickers and using that spot for an extra QB or Flex player. Now doesn’t that make more sense? Leagues are balancing positions that lack value like QB and TE by adding importance to them. Sadly, the majority of leagues still add randomness by including kickers. As a sign of my disapproval of kickers, I have developed a strategy that bypasses drafting a kicker, the Anti-Kicker Strategy. Instead, I use that roster spot for a player that I have no attachment to but is a real football player nonetheless. *Raises fist in silent defiance.* Maybe the player I choose has an outside shot at winning a valuable job. Perhaps they are in a position to add consistency to a starting spot. Or maybe I just want to take a flyer on a possible league-winner.
