Who will the Baltimore Ravens select between Rounds 2 and 4?

Naturally, everyone that follows the Baltimore Ravens will be interested in what the franchise does in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Indeed, there will be an element of expectation amongst the team’s fanbase given that the organization has the No. 14 overall pick and that there are a number of different holes that will need to be filled following free agency and cuts that have been made.

However, what is perhaps going under the radar across the rest of the league is the fact that the Maryland natives have a vast number of picks across the board, including between Rounds 2 and 4.

What does the overall 2022 NFL Draft look like for the Baltimore Ravens?

In fact, the Ravens have a total of 10 picks to make in this year’s draft, although eight of them come between Rounds 2 and 4, with five of those eight available to use in Round 4! Naturally, this has a number of sports fans who participate in online football betting extremely excited, as it provides them with a number of opportunities to place a wager on who they feel Baltimore might look to acquire in these rounds, especially as those in Maryland are legally able to participate in wagering on the 2022 NFL Draft!

This is how the upcoming draft looks for head coach, Jim Harbaugh and General Manager, Eric DeCosta in the next few days:

  1. Round 1: No. 14
  2. Round 2: No. 45
  3. Round 3: No. 76
  4. Round 3: No. 100 (special compensatory selection)
  5. Round 4: No. 110 from New York Giants
  6. Round 4: No. 119
  7. Round 4: No. 128 (from Arizona)
  8. Round 4: No. 139 (compensatory selection)
  9. Round 4: No. 141 (compensatory selection)
  10. Round 6: No. 196 (from Miami Dolphins)

As mentioned, whilst there will be many eyes on the No. 14 overall pick, you can guarantee that there will be many Baltimore Ravens fans who will be looking at picks 45, 76, 100, 110, 119, 128, 139, and 141 with keen interest.

There will be many who will be watching with interest as these are the picks where hidden gems and players who carry a certain value can be found, with a number of players in history to have been drafted as late as these selections that have gone on to have a significant career and influence within the NFL.

What players are being touted as possible candidates for the Ravens between Rounds 2 and 4?

With the Ravens boasting a total of eight total selections in Rounds 2, 3, and 4 (with five in the latter of the rounds), the organization will be hoping they are able to find a couple of stars that have fallen down the board or have perhaps not been identified by other teams in the NFL Draft.

Naturally, with a number of mocks to have taken place, there is always a host of names to have been mentioned as possible selections, with a range of players in different positions touted as potential signees across Friday (Rounds 2 and 3), and Saturday (Rounds 4 to 7) for the team that calls M&T Bank Stadium home.

Let’s take a look at some of the names to have been mentioned:

Round 2

  • George Pickens, WR – Georgia
  • Bernhard Raimann, OT – Central Michigan
  • Kyler Gordon, CB – Washington
  • David Ojabo, OLB – Michigan
  • Roger McCreary, CB – Auburn

Round 3

  • Daniel Faalele, OT – Minnesota
  • Coby Bryant, CB – Cincinnati
  • Chad Muma, LB – Wyoming
  • Joshua Paschal, EDGE – Kentucky
  • Alec Pierce, WR – Cincinnati

Round 4

  • James Cook, RB – Georgia
  • Rasheed Walker, OT – Penn State
  • Tariq Castro-Fields, CB – Penn State
  • Alex Wright, EDGE – UAB

Are defensive players a priority?

As can be seen from the potential picks that have been highlighted above, many feel the Baltimore Ravens require additional personnel on the defensive side of the ball.

Indeed, there are various cornerbacks and EDGE rushers to appear on the list, whilst there are also a number of players being touted who could help provide some protection to quarterback Lamar Jackson, too.

Nevertheless, there are a number of offensive-sided players who could make an impact in regard to scoring, with wide receivers and a running back also being identified.

Conclusion

Of course, what Harbaugh, DeCosta, and the Ravens decide to do remains to be seen, although those who will be watching the 2022 NFL Draft unfold in Las Vegas over the coming weekend will be hoping their team makes the most of the 10 picks that they have!
