Aliyah Boston had the perfect reaction to Caitlin Clark’s heroics
Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston was in awe of Caitlin Clark’s game-winner against the Washington Mystics.
On Monday, Indiana ended their two-game road trip with a 78-76 win over Washington behind Clark’s game-winner.
Boston made sure to shine the spotlight on her superstar teammate and acknowledge the incredible shot from way downtown.
“I mean, are we surprised? Caitlin Clark is Caitlin Clark, and she does that,” Boston said during her post-game interview. “It’s a great shot, I mean she’s a shooter, and you can’t leave her that open.”
Boston had the perfect reaction to Clark’s heroics. It was an incredible shot, but as the Fever forward-center said, this is simply what Clark does.

The Fever were down 76-75 with 4.3 seconds remaining when Clark salvaged the game with a three-pointer. Michaela Onyenwere’s jumper came up short with 1.2 seconds left in the game for the Mystics, which could have forced overtime.
The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year winner led Indiana’s offense with 19 points, to go along with three rebounds and five assists.
Boston, on the other hand, added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, with three assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Indiana Fever returns home with the momentum to continue Commissioner’s Cup campaign
With this latest win, the Fever have improved their record to 6-5 and currently tie the Toronto Tempo as the third seed in the East.
Following this two-game road trip, Indiana will head back home on Thursday in front of the home fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They will welcome the Chicago Sky and look to extend their win streak and keep their Commissioner’s Cup title hopes alive.
Boston and Co. are the reigning in-season tournament champions, and they aim to go back-to-back. Should they achieve this feat, they will be the first team in WNBA history to repeat as Commissioner’s Cup champions.
