Bill Simmons believes Caleb Wilson will be Chicago Bulls’ biggest star since Derrick Rose
The Chicago Bulls got their guy at No. 4 overall when they selected former North Carolina star Caleb Wilson. With a new regime and a rebuild underway, the Bulls are hoping the two selections they made on Tuesday night will be big pieces for the future.
Now, a day later, the Bulls are receiving some praise for their draft. And one pick that is getting a lot of attention is the selection of Wilson.
The Bulls have earned an ‘A’ in several early grades for the draft and Wilson appears to be winning over the fans already. But one NBA analyst believes the Bulls have more than just a good player. He believes they have a star, and the biggest in Chicago since Derrick Rose.
Bill Simmons believes Caleb Wilson will be a star
After the first round wrapped up on Tuesday night, Bill Simmons praised the Bulls’ pick and believes there is very good things coming for Wilson and Chicago. He named them the biggest winner of the draft.
“Winner quickly, Chicago. They get [Caleb] Wilson at No. 4 with a chip on his shoulder. I love Wilson,” Simmons said. “I’m completely all 100% in.I’m all in. He’s the first legit Bulls star since Derrick Rose. This kid has it. They will probably build the team around him. They will play up and down and everybody is going to love it.”

Simmons went on to praise the addition of Dailyn Swain, who the Bulls took at No. 15 overall out of Texas. While Swain isn’t getting the attention Wilson is, he’s also a key piece for the Bulls.
For Wilson, being named in the same sentence as a Chicago legend like Rose has to feel special. Rose was truly the last Bulls player to be a star and draw attention from the fans that we haven’t seen since the Michael Jordan days.
The duo has the chance to really help speed up this Bulls rebuild and get them back to a title contender.
