Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is the talk of the town again. While the 24-year-old constantly dominates headlines, Clark has drawn a lot of extra attention over the past couple of days.
Clark suffered a concerning injury in Wednesday’s 111-109 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. The Fever ruled her out in the third quarter with a back injury. The two-time WNBA All-Star tweaked her back earlier in the game after being fouled on a three-point attempt.
Mercury star Alyssa Thomas was slapped with a one-game suspension on Thursday for a separate in-game incident involving Clark. Thomas drove her fist into Clark’s throat as the Fever star fell on the floor. While no foul was called during the game, the league reviewed the incident and issued a Flagrant 2 foul on the Phoenix veteran.
Caitlin Clark Foundation donates $50,000 to Indianpolis hospital
Clark has remained silent throughout this recent controversy. However, she turned her attention to some positive news on Thursday.
The Caitlin Clark Foundation announced that it had donated $50,000 to Child Life Services at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. The facility at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital was named after the NFL legend for his advocacy and contributions to the hospital.
Clark shared her reaction to the heartwarming news on Instagram. She reacted to the post, but the Fever star had no words, instead opting for emojis.

Clark established her foundation in 2023. According to the website, the non-profit’s mission is to “uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sports.”
The Fever are back in action on Saturday at home against the Los Angeles Sparks. As of this writing, the team has not confirmed whether Clark will be able to play amid her most recent injury concern.
