Chicago Bulls reportedly interested in veteran free agent
The Chicago Bulls are in a rebuild as they decided to reshape their front office. With Bryson Graham in charge, Chicago is hoping to get back to being a contender in the Eastern Conference.
This year’s NBA Draft delivered the Bulls two first-round picks as they selected Caleb Wilson at No. 4 overall and then Dailyn Swain out of Texas at No. 15 overall. The hope is that the duo can contribute right away and be a staple in the Bulls’ lineup for years. But with the draft officially in the books, the next stage of the offseason is free agency.
Chicago already acquired Nic Claxton in a trade which ate up a chunk of their salary space. However, they are still in a good situation in terms of cap space to add to the roster. One need is a veteran who can shoot from all areas of the floor and the latest report suggests the Bulls are interested in a player who would fill that void.
Chicago Bulls interested in Norman Powell per report
As free agency is set to begin this week, the Bulls could take advantage of a situation another Eastern Conference team is in. Following the acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Miami Heat are in a tough cap spot. They likely won’t be able to afford veteran Norman Powell and a new report suggests the Bulls are going to be interested.

Following the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade to the Miami Heat, there’s a growing consensus within league circles that All-Star guard Norman Powell won’t return to South Beach.
The Chicago Bulls are among the teams expected to have interest in Powell as free agency nears, league sources told HoopsHype. The 33-year-old guard is a career 39.6 percent 3-point shooter.
Powell is a veteran who would fill just what the Bulls need. Right now, looking at the roster, there isn’t a whole lot of perimeter shooting you can count on. By adding someone like Powell, he would fill that need whether short term or a multiple years.
He would also bring a locker room presence which could help a young roster.
