Caitlin Clark, Fever receive good news on Thursday
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will be looking to make it four wins in a row on Friday when they return to action for a road matchup against the Portland Fire.
The Fever returned from the All-Star break behind back-to-back wins, and they made it three straight on Tuesday with a 105-95 road win against the Seattle Storm. They will aim to keep that momentum going on Friday at Moda Center against the 11-17 Fire.
The Fever head into that matchup with an 18-10 record. They have risen in the ranks and are currently fifth in the standings. Indiana is tied with the Dallas Wings with the same record.

Indiana Fever submit injury report for Portland Fire game
On Thursday night, the Fever announced their official injury report for the game against the Fire. Clark remains on the list with her lingering back issue, but she is once again probable to play. Veteran forward Monique Billings is a surprise addition on the report after her big game against the Storm, but she, too, is probable with a left hip injury. Damiris Dantas is still away from the team as she nurses a knee problem.
The biggest development on the report, however, centers on Aliyah Boston.
The four-time All-Star exited early on Tuesday against the Storm after suffering a right lower leg injury. She played just 11 minutes before being ruled out for the rest of the game, but managed 11 points and two rebounds.
The good news is that Boston is also probable to play against Portland. This is great news for Clark and the Fever as the 6-foot-5 forward-center appears to have dodged a significant injury.
Status Report for tomorrow’s game at Portland:
Caitlin Clark – Probable (back)
Aliyah Boston – Probable (right lower leg)
Monique Billings – Probable (left hip)
Damiris Dantas – NWT (left knee) pic.twitter.com/9CyZ8j3I1c— Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) July 31, 2026
Boston is not completely out of the woods just yet. The Fever will likely announce her final status closer to tipoff. However, the probable tag is certainly a good sign. More importantly, Boston is no longer expected to miss considerable time after her injury scare on Tuesday.
Boston has been a key cog in Indiana’s success this season. The 24-year-old has been the central figure down low for the Fever as Clark and Kelsey Mitchell dominate the backcourt.
