Fever coach Stephanie White reveals level of concern for Caitlin Clark
Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White said that she’s not concerned about Caitlin Clark’s health after playing back-to-back games.
For the first time since 2024, Clark played twice in two nights. The Fever superstar recorded 45 points and 10 assists against the Seattle Storm and came back with a 17-point, seven-assist game against the New York Liberty the following night.
They both won the games, with an 110-107 win over Seattle on Friday and a 108-88 beating of the Liberty on Saturday.
These performances didn’t surprise her head coach, White, who said she’s not worried about Clark’s health despite her lingering back issues this season.
In her post-game interview on Saturday, White discussed her confidence in their prized star and how she looked good without appearing fatigued throughout the game.
“Yeah, she seemed to be feeling pretty good. I mean, we think we’ll get more of a sense tomorrow,” White stated. “There were times where I felt like she looked like she was a little off-balance.
“But nothing that I thought was concerning. I thought she played heavy minutes. I thought she did a really good job of taking what they gave her.”

Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White praised Caitlin Clark after win
During the same post-game interview, coach White also gave the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft the credit she deserves in maximizing her gravity to orchestrate the offense.
This created opportunities for her teammates, even though Clark had an off night from the field — at least by her very high standards.
“You know, her facilitating was outstanding,” White continued. ”She wasn’t making the same kind of shots she was making yesterday. But I think that’s to be expected on a back-to-back for the first time in a couple of seasons.”
Kelsey Mitchell spearheaded Indiana’s scoring load with 33 points, adding one assist and one steal to record another win in the season.
